Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Look…it’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday and I created a button (I told you I could do it Karli – well part of it, I’m still working on adding the text below…I’ll figure that out soon enough). Several people have recently asked for a little more information regarding the scavenger hunt.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are pretty simple:
  1. Anyone can participate (although it started in a photography board on The Bump).
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos the week of the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Monday at the latest) – you can use the new button.
  5. Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the scavenger hunt items.

1. Black and White

I shared a different photo for this week’s POTW (Picture of the Week), but since I have so many cute shots of my niece and nephew from our week at the beach…I thought I’d share a shot of Carter biting into one of his toys.

2. Happy

You’ll remember that the other night, Alyssa was a little down (either worn out or sad with the prospect of her vacation coming to an end). I couldn’t stand to see my little one down, so we started playing ball before going down to the beach. She clearly was having a blast. Yes…this is happiness! Look at those curls…I’m so jealous.

3. Wet

Another shot of Alyssa down at the beach. Although I love the feeling of the waves rushing over my feet…I remember a period in my life where the waves caught me by surprise and nearly knocked me down. I believe Alyssa was experiencing that very moment. Unfortunately for me, when I was her age, I was in a floaty that rolled over. I was left crying with salt in my eyes.

4. Knob
Knob
I did shoot another “door knob,” but I didn’t like it…it felt dull and boring. So, once we got home, I looked around and realized that I have plenty of neat looking knobs in our house. The one above is on our desk…that we don’t use.

5. Made of Wood
Made of Wood
Finally, this is a shot I took by the ocean the night that my husband was hoping I’d get some sweet ocean shots. He was dumbfounded when he caught me hovering over an old fence. I can’t help it – the photographer in me sees inspiration everywhere.

Next week’s items are:
  1. Food (this is also the POTW theme)
  2. Portrait
  3. Chair
  4. Game
  5. Miniature

In case you’re still looking for some inspiration, check out my photo challenge page for other memes you can join. Off the top of my head, here are the upcoming challenges this week:
I may be forgetting some, so feel free to chime in with other weekly challenges that I might have missed. Or, if you have a challenge you want added to my photo challenge page, just let me know. Have a great day and a great week!

Yes those curls equate fun. My eyes lingered on the “knob” picture for quite some time. Something so luring about it. I’ll jump in for tomorrow. I’m always up for a photo challenge to wet my appetite.

Oh by the way I had a similar hubby crazy look when out of no where I got on my belly on the beach to take pictures of grass.

The first photo is seriously breath taking
