Wee Bit Wednesday
Today I was in Philadelphia and I’ve got the blisters on my feet to prove it (why I still think I can enjoy wearing heels is beyond me). It’s taken me a minute (translation: a few hours) to catch up on Google Reader, but when I saw Leigh Ashley’s Wee Bit of Me Wednesday scroll through, I knew that I wanted to respond.

{one} if you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?
Captcha’s – these things are annoying and although I will go through the process of typing in some random word in order to post a comment to a fellow blogger’s page, I think they are very annoying and should disappear! If you have a captcha on your blog, please please please consider removing it. I asked nicely…that should count for something.

{two} if you could go on vacation for the next month with an unlimited budget, where would you go?
I really want to visit Australia, but I would need at least a month to do it right. We also want to go to Europe, so I could easily take a month off to travel Europe.

{three} cats or dogs?
I love both cats and dogs…and I’ve had both, but you guys know that I love my Kitty Paw. I was once asked why have a cat? Well, she takes care of herself from a litter box/feeding perspective (we have that stuff automated), but when we come home, she greets us at the door and hangs out with us while we’re watching tv, etc. She’s pretty great!

{four} would you rather date a lot of people or be in a committed relationship?
Prior to getting married, I was a relationship person, I always have been. I did try the dating several people thing for a short period of time, and it got confusing.

{five} would you rather own a luxury yacht or a private jet?
Hmmm….private jet. I mean, I love traveling by sea, but we’re a fast and furious type of couple, so when we want to go somewhere…we want to get there as soon as possible.

{six} what was the last book you read?
I’m currently reading “Betrayed” by P.C. and Kristin Cast – it’s another teenage vampire book and I love it…so don’t hate.

{seven} would you rather be really hot or really cold?
That is a tough question – I can’t stand being too much of either but I suppose I’d rather be too hot because I can’t stand really cold temperatures.

{eight} if you could change your name, what would you change it to?
LOL – I hope if my Mother-in-Law is reading this that she’ll think it’s funny. So, my last name is Sisk. I was excited to shorten my name when I got married but now I have a different challenge…people don’t know how to say my short and simple name. At restaurants, we’ve been called the Sick’s…I’m constantly asked how to spell that. I’ve asked my husband if we can potentially be the Sisko’s or Siska’s…and I’m up for other suggestions. And then there’s the whole question of future names for our children. He loves Thomas and I’m a tad bit scared that our kid will have a lisp and not be able to say their name. I know, I know, it’s silly but this is the stuff that goes through my head.

{nine} what did you dream about last night?
I have no idea – probably blogging. Can you say LAME?

{ten} if you had to throw away either your tv or your computer, which would you throw away?
I would definitely get rid of my tv – my husband would disagree, but my computer is an extension of myself. As much as I need to pull myself away from it from time to time, I enjoy blogging and interacting with others.

With all of that said, and because every blog post is better with a picture, here is another moment from my photowalk last Saturday.

That’s all for tonight…I’ve gotta go to the dentist in the morning…have a good one!

OOOO!!! i love love love that photo! so beautiful! :)

Great post and a great photo to end it!

fun post…I would do it too but I’m not that motivated today. Cute shot too!

BTW…I totally agree that captcha’s are annoying. Even more annoying though, random comments in Japonese for s3x sites :) So, I would rid the world of spammers…then there would be no need for pesky catpcha’s.

    Very cool post!

love these little insights into people, very cool!

Such a fun post! I hear you on the last name!! I get all kind of questions with my last name! Awesome picture!

    I love that photo!!!

Are captchas the words that aren’t really words that you have to type in when commenting? I hate those things, too! Some of them are so well disguised I can’t make out the letters!!

Good luck at the dentist tomorrow!

Sorry I am a “captcha” friend — I had to put it back on after getting a stream of bizarre pharmaceutical comments in different languages. Maybe I will reconsider for you…:)

I agree on so many things. Fun post! Was it scorching in Philly? My dad called (he lives in Philly) the other day and said it was 100+ humidity. I can’t even imagine.

Beautiful blog. Beautiful photos. Thank you :)

Love this post – and that photo!

I couldn’t agree more on your cat vs. dog answer! They’re both fantastic, but cats are lower maintenance and I’ve always been a sucker for animals with sass.

So I’m sitting in bed watching Toddlers and Tiaras (yes, really), and I realized I got interrupted AGAIN and hadn’t checked your blog. I love reading these little tidbits about you – how fun! OK, I’ll bite. How in the world do you do that little motion deelie-do with your camera. Love it! So fun…and I remember it from a while back when you took pics of that little boy and girl. This is a COOL picture!

Do you have to do a captcha code on my blog? I have no idea! ;-)

Love your interview! And what’s funny is I read on My 3 Boybarians awhile ago all her blogging pet pieves and one was music on a blog and captchas…. so I immediately removed mine. It makes sense cause when you are blog hopping and sometimes I will open up multiple blogs at the same time to read them as they download on the internet and then I have 4 different music stations going! Kind of annoying. So anyways feel free to leave comments on my page cause I don’t have captchas now! :D

sweet post but thanks for adding the picture, did you add the blurring on the right? thats a cool one.

What a beautiful post, and i adore the photo :)

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

    K xx

This is pretty cool! Captcha’s are so annoying, especially since there are days when blogger hates me and decides to just demand that i fill them out three times.

Hope you survived the dentist! Love the photo – especially the motion in the background.

I didn’t know my comments required captchas, but I just changed that! They’re very annoying. :)

Ooooh Loved your answers Ashley. We are fast and furious, too. I would DEFINITELY pick the jet plane.

Great shot! How did you achieve that look? What lens did you use? Don’t keep it a secret. Inquiring minds would like to know.

great shot and do tell…we all want to know how you got the motion….is that an action? i just started using them, but my pse is so old i’m having a lot of trouble loading them.

oh I SO enjoyed reading this post :) LOL to #1 and I totally know how you feel about the “name of my one-day kid” my hubs turned down a name choice of mine once “because that has too many a’s” You know “Thomas Sisk” would probably say his name really funny for a while, or he could like my Katie-Abigail simply refuse to say his name until he’s four.

p.s. if I could rid the blogging world of one thing it would be DISQUS! How I loathe it.
