Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Another Sunday…another Scavenger Hunt. As always, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers today and tomorrow. If you are also participating in the August 2010 Photo Hunt, there are 3 days to finish (or start) the hunt. I’ve tried to help you out but giving you a couple of photo hunt items each week, but now it’s all up to you.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Monday at the latest) – you can use the new button.
  5. Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:

1. Bokeh

I am addicted to bokeh. I snapped this shot the other day when I was prompted to “go outside” for the You Capture photo challenge. I love the way the leaves create a unique bokeh in the background.

2. Business
Ashley Sisk: Business
Yesterday, we visited my father-in-law at his place of business. I love the vintage look of the shop hours.

3. Eco-Friendly
Ashley Sisk: Eco-Friendly
I wasn’t sure what I’d photograph for eco-friendly. While we were out, I spotted “flex-fuel” on the back of a truck…that would be considered eco-friendly, right?

4. Repetition
Repetition 2 RS
I initially took this picture to represent music (it’s part of my husband’s recording equipment), but then decided that the knobs were very repetitive. I’ve got another photo that I’m entering in this month’s Photo Hunt…but I decided to save it for a little later this week.

5. Music

I was originally going to share a completely different photo – it was kind of a last minute lame attempt to find something that represents “music.” Then, last night our niece decided that she and her dad would sing my husband a song for his birthday (his birthday is this Thursday). You can see that he was strumming the guitar while she just leaned into his side and smiled. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever. This photo also fits the Two Mamas Made a Photo Challenge theme: Music.

Speaking of music, this song goes out to all my ladies.

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until tomorrow at midnight. If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items. Since I know that some of you will be scrambling to finish your Photo Hunt items…if you need to, you may dive into your archives a little more than usual.
  1. Red (also your POTW theme)
  2. Homespace
  3. Fence
  4. Rock
  5. Sharp
At this point, I’d like to open the floodgates for scavenger hunt item suggestions. Our list is starting to get a little weak…and I’d love to have some ideas. Also, don’t forget that you have just a few more days to finish up your items for the August 2010 Photo Hunt. Those items should start to be posted on September 1. Have a great week and happy shooting!
