Wee Bit Wednesday and Blog Awards

{one} what was your favorite birthday gift? I’d probably have to say the gift card I received this year…because it bought my 105 mm macro lens and you guys know how much I love that lens.

{two} have you ever been cow-tipping or snipe-hunting? Actually, I think I have been snipe hunting. When I finally realized what I was doing, I felt ridiculous.

{three} what’s the strangest talent you have? I’m not sure if I have any strange talents although in high school, my friends and I used to have burping contests. So it’s me…and a bunch of guys – guess who won the most? Yes…that would be me.

{four} what are your favorite kind of chips? Sun Chips…specifically, Garden Salsa.

{five} do you know any tongue twisters? q: how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. a: a woodchuck could chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. — I’m going to have to use this one too…I got nothing!

{six} what was the last movie you saw in a theater? Um…is it sad that I don’t remember. We rent so many movies on Red Box that I don’t remember what we actually saw in the theater.

{seven} do you collect anything?

Most recently…post cards through Post-Crossing. I received my third post card the other day from Ina in Germany. I always love seeing the various stamps and handwriting.

{eight} what is something you wish you were better at? My husband would probably tell you that he wishes I had a better eye for cleaning and not just photography. I was drawing a blank for a while…but I wish I was better at cooking – or perhaps I just wish that I had a desire to cook. I’m pretty content right now.

{nine} what’s the worst habit you have? I tend to throw my clothes, the mail, my stuff wherever without much thought. Although it doesn’t really bother me, I could probably do a better job of putting my things in the proper place.

{ten} when you wake up, what is the first thing you think? What time is it? Ugh.

Now…with all that said, go see My Leigh Ashley and submit your answers for A Wee Bit of Me Wednesday. I have a few awards to accept.  I must first thank Holly at Diamond Potential for the Versatile Blogger Award.

I must also thank Lolo at Crazy About My Baybah  and The Punk Rock Mom for the “I Heart Your Blog” Award, and Lolo again for the Blogger Buddy Award.

I really appreciate each of these awards, but I’m not a fan of rules beyond the one that says to thank the blogger who gave you the award. There are so many wonderful bloggers out there that I hate to single out just 5, 7 or 15…whatever that number is. So congratulations to everyone – feel free to take one or all of the awards, you can even say I gave it to you. Now I’m off to edit a few photos. Have a great night!

    Great honest answers!

your answers for 8 and 9 easily could have been mine…

Burping contests! ahaha. I do wish I had more of a desire to be better at cooking and cleaning. I didn’t inherit the housewifely gene, which my little sister has. My mom didn’t have it as much either, so I don’t feel too bad.

good answers… i too love Garden Salsa.. YUM! and burping contests!!! we have the finer things in life in common… lol

Ditto on the sun chips! And burping contests?! SWEET! I am totally loving that post card thing, as well. I remember the other one you posted. Would be a neat idea to have students do… if I taught geography or something ;) But it is soooo cool.

    hummm, sunchips. Loved this post!

Congrats on your awards. :) I am guilty of tossing things here and there too. Then when I straighten I think to myself that it would have taken much less time if I had put things away the moment I was done. Oh well, I’ll never learn. :)

    #8 – That’s me, too! :)

    Congrats on your awards!

I throw my mail and clothes too! =)

My husband would say that number eight was me too LOL. I love the post-crossings thing that is so cool, I am going to check that out. I am also terrible about putting things in their rightful place LOL. It is probably why I can never find anything. BTW what is snipe hunting?

Love the postcard! I have no idea what snipe hunting is – off to google it!

I’m thinking you and I could be sisters :-)
I don’t cook, I’m really bad about throwing things wherever, I don’t go to movies, my macro lens is my favorite…

Congrats on the awards!! Definitely well deserved!

Oh gosh I love Sun Chips! Great…now I’m craving some ;)

haha love your list! i throw my stuff EVERYWHERE too!

I enjoyed your list! photography is so much better than housework!

Haha! I think I live near your latest post card friend! Small world!

Ashley, I’m sooo glad I found you again! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I am looking forward to connecting and learning from you as well!

Love that daisy and ladybug shot! Enjoyed learning more about you too. You asked in your comment: what do you place your subjects on to get such a beautiful reflection? The starfish I shot is laying on top of a white pedestalled cupcake plate. Shot with my macro. I think the plate itself might be what is looking like a reflection, since only a portion of it is showing under the starfish, as I don’t see much reflection in the photo.

Ok, I’d always learned the second part of the tongue twister as : He’d chuck all the wood that a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood. Now I have to look it up! :D

But I prefer “She sell seashells” in song – it’s hilarious when my girls try and sing along with me : ))

You are most welcome for your award, and I feel the same way about choosing- I follow so many rad blogs, I really can’t choose! I like to give them to people that need a lift, because all of my bloggy friends inspire me. But your pix are truly an inspiration!

And ditto to the garden salsa sun chips. mmmmmm.
And thanks for talking about post crossing- I can’t wait to check it out! :D

Ok what the heck is snipe hunting? I’m off to google…

I always inspired by you, your opinion and way of thinking, again, thanks for this nice post.
