Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy Halloween! For those of you that trick-or-treated last night…I hope you had fun and for those of you that will be doing your trick-or-treating tonight, I hope you have a fun and safe time. Either way, it’s that time again…Scavenger Hunt Sunday. So, if you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME!
Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Have fun!
So, without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. My Town
IMG_7746 RS
It might have been more interesting to share a picture of Downtown or a more popular landmark, but this is an intersection I visit nearly every day on my way home from the gym. I was playing around with my lensbaby for this shot.

2. Something Vintage
19. Something Vintage - Ashley Sisk
My mom collects vintage/antique baby furniture (she owns a Children’s boutique, so it’s only appropriate). Yesterday, I was visiting her shop when I realized that this particular cradle would be perfect for “something vintage.” It’s also perfect for my first Scripture and a Snapshot entry.

3. Tilt-Shift
IMG_7805 RS
I took this shot while driving home on Friday afternoon (I did slow down, almost to a stop – I would not recommend anyone trying this). This is actually my favorite part about my drive home…this little stretch of road. The sun was shining and the leaves looked beautiful.

4. Dress Up
IMG_7797 RS
Most of you will probably share a picture of you or your children dressed up for Halloween, but I realize that a number of people don’t celebrate Halloween…thus the reason I changed this item to “dress up.” I felt rather “dressed up” with this necklace I wore the other day to work. I love the colors.

5. Chocolate
IMG_7812 rs
To celebrate Halloween, I bought some M&Ms and Reese Cups the other day. Then, it was only a matter of creating an interesting composition. So, we have this really neat pewter bowl on our kitchen table…I threw in some M&Ms and started shooting. I kinda like the reflection that was created.

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items:
  1. Boo!
  2. Black
  3. Texture
  4. Wet
  5. Language
I look forward to seeing your October 2010 Photo Hunt pictures, and if I heard correctly…we’ll be given a list of 10 items for November. Have a great week and happy shooting!

Hi Ashley, I really like your lens baby shots, and I’m glad I was able to play along again this week. That tilt-shift photography was a lot of fun, and I look forward to taking more photos from that vantage point to use the tilt-shift effect again.

Great shots as usual. The vintage cradle is gorgeous! I like the M&M’s shot and the movement in the pewter, it almost looks like water.

Thanks for hosting yet again! :) I’ll be back tomorrow or Monday to make the rounds!

I love the chocolate shot! The reflection and the wavy look of it are so interesting.

I hope to get to rejoin the scavenger hunt soon, but until then, I’ll keep watching from the sidelines. Great work this week, as always!

    I love your interpretations !
    Great shots !

    I made it…finally.
    Love the lens-baby shots…well
I love them all. You are a great inspiration!
    Have a nice Sunday.

I love your lensbaby shots, they do work out so well. Love all your shots, I keep meaning to do your challenge again but then I forget but I will get back to it I do love it.

3rd week in a row I haven’t managed to participate! I’m sorry! Next week I’ll be getting my scavenger on. :D
I love your tilt shift photo, it hurts my eyes, but in a good way. I also love the reflection of the m&m;s. Yum!

I love, love the vintage baby crib!

The tilt shift I just couldn’t get into but that is because I got some great miniature shots of actual miniature scenes which were built as dolls houses that I found quite odd!

I love the vintage baby crib!

    Kisses and happy weekend.

LOVE the M&Ms! I was trying to figure it out before reading your explanation. So cool.

The vintage cradle is precious and what a wonderful Scripture to go along with it. Children truly are a heritage from the LORD.

Love those two landscape shots! Great job.

Hi Ashley! I’ve been just about absent this week from blog world, and I hope my entry this week isn’t a waste of space either :0 Let’s talk about your work though…LOVE that baby crib!! And your dress up shot is great as well. I channeled that same idea and did the first thing that came to mind. I don’t usually post full faces of my kids, so the cutie costume thing was out. Have a Happy Halloween. LOVE your necklace :)

I love your Dressing Up and your Chocolate photos… love the cradle shot, too!

I actually had fun with the tilt-shift shot… Thanks for including it!

M&Ms are excelent and I love your neckles :))

    Hugs from Europe

Ashley these are all wonderful! I especially love the vintage cradle and the chocolate photo. I’ll have to have some chocolate before this day is over, or stop commenting! OK, that wasn’t hard to decide; will have some chocolate!! ♥

Great shots! My favorites are something vintage (great verse) and dressed up.

Incredibly jealous of your mad editing skillz! I was a complete fail at tilt-shift photography :P
LOVE your take on dress up :) Have a great week Ashley :D

Ashley I’m late in commenting but I had to link up this morning and then dash to church and now that lunch is over I’ve got a little time to myself.

What a lovely looking little vintage crib and the scripture verse is just perfect to go along with it. Your mum’s shop must be a lovely place to visit. That necklace just looks so beautiful – it’s my favourite shot this week :)

Great shots!! I love your dress up shot the best! I don’t have any cool necklaces like that.
Sadly, I will not be participating this week… I have been so busy and this weekend snuck up way too quickly. And I have to admit, the scavenger hunt items are getting challenging! (That’s a good thing, though) Hopefully next week will be a little more mellow!

I’m digging your dress up shot! I love your take on it…and that necklace is gorgeous. And now, I am salivating for M&Ms :)

your chocolate and dressup shots are AMAZING.
