Just Say No - Word Verification

This week our theme or prompt is “love/romance” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot) – how appropriate for today!  You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).

I wasn’t quite sure what to post for this week. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day on Saturday by going out to dinner. We’re not much on giving elaborate gifts on actual holidays as we seem to prefer random acts of kindness. However, I did want to share a new photo rather than pulling a photo from my archives (it was so tempting to just pull one of my engagement or wedding photos). So, while we were at the grocery store, we picked up this beautiful bouquet of flowers.

I told my husband that I just wanted him to hold the flowers as if he was giving them to me…I had no intention of him being in focus (although I had a different photo composition in mind). For those of you who are married (or who have been with your significant other for any length of time), you know that getting your other half to pose for a picture can be like pulling teeth. He wasn’t really in the mood. Either way, I captured something…and here is my SOOC:

This week, I’d like to elaborate on using the rule of thirds…if you see something else in this image that might be neat to explore, let me know. Next week’s theme is “Pink.” With that said, be sure to check out other “love/romance” SOOC shots at:

Happy Valentine’s Day!
