Scavenger Hunt Sunday
First of all, thank you so much for all the wonderful comments this weekend. I have not had a chance to do any blog-hopping, and I apologize for not returning emails as quickly as I would like. I also have a confession…I didn’t pick up my camera much until yesterday during my niece and nephew’s birthday party. However, since I tend to write these posts in advance (it’s Friday night right now – well…when I started this post), I pulled photos that hadn’t yet been processed for the hunt this week. I hope you’ll forgive me. The warmer it gets, the more I want to enjoy living. Believe it or not, it doesn’t always include my camera.

Anyways, if you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Kat, Nicolasa, and Dina.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

Stick Your Tongue Out-Web
I took this shot on Friday morning before I walked into my office. I was going to cheat and pull from some of the flower scenes I took last week. Then I figured that I could at least take a quick self portrait. Here it is SOOC.

2. Sprouting
Sprouting RS
So where I didn’t cheat on my SOOC shot, I did cheat on my sprouting shot. Like I mentioned in my opening though…it hadn’t been processed until this week. And for that matter, I love it!

3. Isn’t It Ironic
IMG_4629 RS
I have my husband to thank for this picture. Until last night (and I literally do mean last night – Saturday), I had nothing. In fact, I actually wrote, “isn’t it ironic that this spot is empty.”

So, there my husband is wearing a CRUSH t-shirt. The little girl sitting beside him is wearing a shirt that says “girl power.” Last night, during the party, my husband walks up to her and says something “smart.” She throws it right back at him – I love a quick-witted girl! Anyways, my husband has a tendency to get turned on by this kind of behavior (exhibit A – Ashley Sisk), so this little girl’s sassiness only made my husband try harder to get her to laugh and play with him. Before too long, they both had mini-crushes on one another. If she was about 10-12 years older…I might be worried.

4. Lazy
On the Beach RS
I’m lazy on a number of fronts with this particular shot. This was taken back in April during that beach wedding I went to. It was kinda cold and rainy that weekend, but lightened up enough for a wind surfer to get out in the waves. I noticed a photographer running out on the sand to capture the guy. I’m sure his pictures were awesome. Me…I stayed on the balcony. Yep – lazy. I did add a vintage texture effect though, so I wasn’t completely lazy.

5. Smells Like Spring
Spring Shows RS
I think this quote says it all. To get this shot (like many of my garden shots), I was literally laying on the ground. I’m sure my neighbors loved that. In the event that you can’t smell spring by simply walking outdoors, you can definitely smell it from the ground.

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):
  1. Give Me Flowers
  2. Visual Contrast (Exploring with a Camera theme - check out post here)
  3. Friendship (Quotography prompt)
  4. Before and After (Dina’s suggestion)
  5. Dark (Dina’s suggestion)
Quotography at {My} Perspective
Again, thank you to Kat, Nicolasa, and Dina for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way…and we’ve got some great prompts coming up in future weeks). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Also, be sure to come back tomorrow for Shoot and Edit: Part 1, Week 18.  The prompt/theme is “Mother’s Day.” Happy Shooting!

Fantastic SOOC and I love the texture in “lazy”! Hope Kitty Paw gets you something good for Mother’s Day. :)

I love your lazy shot. It’s beautiful. :)

Awesome SOOC — I LOVE the reflection of the red car in your shades! Love, love, love it!

Beautiful pictures! I really love the editing on the second one! :)

Amazing.. Love all your shots.. that first one cracks me up.. Thanks for the great hunt this week…

I love your SOOC shot–truly spectacular!

Your SOOC shot makes me kind of hang-my-headish. I should really try harder to back away from a picture once in a while. It’s SO good!! It also makes me think I need some cool glasses…

The bokeh in your last shot is DELICIOUS.

    I love your lazy shot!!!

Another great week of challenging prompts! SOOC was my favorite this week as well of your captures, what can I say…that’s how I prefer to roll.

Spring brings freshness to parks and gardens. I like your sprouting and smells like spring pics! And it was very hard to find anything ironic to take a pic of it but also something lazy was difficult because there is so much to do in springtime.

Wow! Great SOOC. I love the las photo and sprouting photos also.

Cute SOOC and funny Ironic shots, but I really love Sprouting… looks like a little green butterfly stretching its wings as it emerges from the chrysalis…

You really challenged us this week Ashley with those prompts. Your sooc cracked me up when I saw it and I love that quote with that spring shot and that bokeh is just awesome.

Your selfie makes me smile :) Have a great day!

Your sprouting photo is so so pretty.

Great shots! I love the bokeh in your smells like spring shot! Great work this week, as usual!

Great shots! Loving your lazy photo, and love the story behind the ironic photo!!

Love your SOOC…made me laugh! And love the documentary style of your Ironic shot. Your spring shot is just beautiful! Great job this week!

Love that ironic photo! So cute and funny!

Love your SOOC shot. Too cute!

Haha, I only wish I could get my hands on a macro lens!! I’ve recently become obsessed w/ my extention tubes!

That first shot is my fav. I love the reflection on the sunglasses and the sass of the photographer. Cool. And if that was the “lazy” shot, bravo. It is incredible to see from the vanatage point you selected.

Great shots! Love the sprouting and smells like spring. :)

These are great. Love your husband and the little girl shot. Too cute.

    Have a wonderful day!!!

Great photos as always, I really like the sooc one and the ironic, that is a funny story that goes along with it too!

Love that SOOC…such fun and great reflections in the glasses. I also love how you interpreted Irony. Perfect. All your images are fab this week-even that lazy shot from the balcony. Who wants to slog along the beach in yucky weather? Happy day to you.

Love your SOOC and the reflection!! Also, love your sprouting shot!

Wonderful photos! I especially like the first and last ones.

I absolutely love the first one Ashley!

great shots, Ashley. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to join the last few Sundays. Hoping to get back to the routine!

Gorgeous shots! I’m super behind on my blog reading too, I will be back this week to catch up on all your posts. :)

LOVE that lazy shot, so beautiful!

Your photos are fabulous as always! Love the SOOC and smells like spring! Have a wonderful week!

Love your shots…..I say you’re allowed to cheat once and a while! I’m trying to figure out if I have enough from this week that will line up……I barely took out mine too…Hope you’re having a Happy Weekend!

I love your sprouting shot. For some reason the Lazy shot didn’t come through for me. I will try again later. I will have to post my pictures some time later, I never really had a chance to get any shots and my memory card is full. I didn’t care very much for my shots from our new cell phones (as I haven’t quite figured out how to figure out all the features) so I didn’t want to use that camera again this week. So my pictures will be a tad late this week.

My husband has that same crush T-shirt I think. Fun SOOC shot and sprouting is perfect.

    Woof, Ashley!
Are you sticking your tongue out at me?!!! Then I woofy bark back. But not before I greet you happy mom something! HappyYoohoo!

Love that you are doing your thing and enjoying the weather. My neighbours probably think I am nuts too as I am often laying flat out to get that perfect plant photo from their level. Great photos as always. V

Oh, I hear ya on wanting to just enjoy the warm weather sans the camera, but I do love when you take it out! Your photos are always full of inspiration :) SOOC is awesome! My SOOC never come out that color!

The selfie is awesome! I lvoe how you can see bits of red in your sunglasses!

I really like the clarity and colors in the “sprouting” image. :)

I’ve been thinking about joining SHS for a while but only remembered and got around to it today, so I linked up for the first time.

love the reflection in your sunglasses and the sprouting shot!

Beautiful shots as always…hope you had a great weekend.

I love the Crush picture… and the story behind it!! ha ha! =) Blessings!
