First of all, thank you so much for all the wonderful comments this weekend. I have not had a chance to do any blog-hopping, and I apologize for not returning emails as quickly as I would like. I also have a confession…I didn’t pick up my camera much until yesterday during my niece and nephew’s birthday party. However, since I tend to write these posts in advance (it’s Friday night right now – well…when I started this post), I pulled photos that hadn’t yet been processed for the hunt this week. I hope you’ll forgive me. The warmer it gets, the more I want to enjoy living. Believe it or not, it doesn’t always include my camera.
Anyways, if you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Kat, Nicolasa, and Dina.

- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
1. SOOC
I took this shot on Friday morning before I walked into my office. I was going to cheat and pull from some of the flower scenes I took last week. Then I figured that I could at least take a quick self portrait. Here it is SOOC.
2. Sprouting
So where I didn’t cheat on my SOOC shot, I did cheat on my sprouting shot. Like I mentioned in my opening though…it hadn’t been processed until this week. And for that matter, I love it!
3. Isn’t It Ironic

I have my husband to thank for this picture. Until last night (and I literally do mean last night – Saturday), I had nothing. In fact, I actually wrote, “isn’t it ironic that this spot is empty.”
So, there my husband is wearing a CRUSH t-shirt. The little girl sitting beside him is wearing a shirt that says “girl power.” Last night, during the party, my husband walks up to her and says something “smart.” She throws it right back at him – I love a quick-witted girl! Anyways, my husband has a tendency to get turned on by this kind of behavior (exhibit A – Ashley Sisk), so this little girl’s sassiness only made my husband try harder to get her to laugh and play with him. Before too long, they both had mini-crushes on one another. If she was about 10-12 years older…I might be worried.

4. Lazy
I’m lazy on a number of fronts with this particular shot. This was taken back in April during that beach wedding I went to. It was kinda cold and rainy that weekend, but lightened up enough for a wind surfer to get out in the waves. I noticed a photographer running out on the sand to capture the guy. I’m sure his pictures were awesome. Me…I stayed on the balcony. Yep – lazy. I did add a vintage texture effect though, so I wasn’t completely lazy.
5. Smells Like Spring
I think this quote says it all. To get this shot (like many of my garden shots), I was literally laying on the ground. I’m sure my neighbors loved that. In the event that you can’t smell spring by simply walking outdoors, you can definitely smell it from the ground.
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):
- Give Me Flowers
- Visual Contrast (Exploring with a Camera theme – check out post here)
- Friendship (Quotography prompt)
