Thank You Giveaway: 30 Days of Simply SLR
On December 30, 2009 I wrote my very first blog post. I had no idea what I was doing or where it would go. At the most basic level, I wanted to find my MOJO (aka: my missing creative spirit – it’s been missing for years)…and I thought a blog might be the perfect place to keep track of myself and my progress. Who knew that a year and a half later, I’d still be here and that I’d find all this creative energy among such great friends. In fact, earlier this week, I hit 1500 followers. 1500 FOLLOWERS!

While I was watching American Idol and Glee last night, I decided that there was no better way to thank each of you than to offer a Giveaway. This first giveaway is sponsored by Faith at Simplicity. Faith was one of the first photography blogs I happened upon over a year ago. Her work and her enthusiasm for teaching SLR users basic to advanced photography skills inspires me. This week, she is offering one spot in her upcoming 30 Days of Simply {SLR} Photography e-class. 

What is 30 Days of Simply SLR? 

It’s 30 days of blog posts (on a private blog) to build your photography skills and 30 days of prompts to stretch you both technically and creatively. The 30 Days of Simply {SLR} Photography eClass is for digital SLR camera owners and her goal is to have you shooting comfortably and confidently in full-manual mode in just four weeks. She’ll be covering the topics of: aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance. Faith will teach you how to crop your photos for more visual appeal, use available light and show you some ways to look for a creative perspective. She will also be sharing some of her creative methods and what inspires her as a photographer.

Also, because Faith will be having a baby during this class, unlike her other classes, she will not be leaving feedback on every photo posted to our class Flickr group but will be available to answer questions and give help via email. Class size is unlimited, registration is open NOW until the end of July.
