This week's Selfie Saturday prompt is "perfection." Ironically enough, I wasn't planning to take this portrait...I was really just trying to check the height on my tripod as well as my focus (the height was off even if my focus is okay). I nearly deleted it, but there was just something about this shot that kept me hanging on. Furthermore, I can't decide if I like the color or black and white version better. What do you think? Another "happy accident" photo. I like the color one best, it gives a soft focus on the lips.

perfect verse for that picture. I think the picture was meant to be! I stared at both of them for a while and truly can't decide which I prefer. both are so soft that they evoke a similar beautiful feel! Love this!
To tell the truth I think both shots look amazing.. But if you told me I to pick one I do believe I would also pick the B&W shot..

And you know, I'm not sure which I like better, either. I love the bright b&w, but the soft colors really draw me in, too.

I like the color and b/w, but I always tend to love b/w photos just a little bit more.
Reading through the comments it appears I could be the tie breaker--BW or color...I might lean toward color a tiny bit because it is still soft colors and I like color. To me the great thing about BW is that it can remove distractions, but there isn't a distraction to remove. I'm sure it will swing the other way with the next comment--meaning they are clearly both great!

I like the black and white version better, too. And I'm glad you were "drawn back" to this photo. Perhaps part of its attraction is a bit of mystery: for myself, I'm curious to see the rest of the face.

definitely a happy accident there. you take awesome selfie i am so jealous, i should try sometime. i used to do it a lot with my point-and-shoot but with a heavy camera i hardly can so maybe i should take a cue from you - tripod is your friend :)
I like them both, but the black and white leaves so much to the imagination...like it's telling a part of a story that we haven't heard or seen the ending of yet. Love Happy Accidents!
