A couple of weeks ago, Katie Lloyd introduced her Vintage Polaroid Effect for Photoshop Elements. Much like Katie, I don’t have an iPhone…but this effect emulates the Instagram app. If you haven’t already, rush over immediately and download.
Shortly after Katie released this effect, I asked if she would mind if I turned her .psd file into a Photoshop and Photoshop Elements compatible action. She said YES! We call this action, “Debonair.”
This action is free for personal or commercial use and has been created to work in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. It has also been created to work on horizontal, vertical and square crops…thus, I did not include the frame or a vignette (I may create an alternate version of this action if I can figure out a few things). I would recommend running a clean edit on your photo before applying the action. The layers can be adjusted to suit your tastes.
If you download and like this action (click on the DEBONAIR button below) inspired by Katie Lloyd, I ask that you do the following:
- Follow Katie Lloyd’s blog – my guess is that you already do. She’s pretty awesome.
- Like Katie Lloyd on Facebook
- Like ME on Facebook
I also have an offer in preparation for tomorrow’s good to WOW post. As you know, I will not be writing a new tutorial. Rather, my friend Caroline will be sharing some awesome Lightroom tips and tricks that are sure to rock our world! I’m thinking (well I know) that I will be editing a photo from our good to WOW Flickr Group. Meanwhile, a few people have expressed an interest in editing my photo of Casey. If you are one of those people, you can download the original file by clicking the button below.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Have a great Wednesday! By the way, I’m linking Kitty Paw (image above) up with the following bloggers today:
