Welcome to the 29th week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1. Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials. This week our theme or prompt is “Laughter" (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot...much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill's blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).
You'll have to forgive me this week for using a photo taken last month (especially since I used another shot from this session yesterday)...in fact, you probably remember a very similar shot posted a few weeks ago from my session with Casey, but I love her laugh too much not to share Here's my SOOC:

I think this photo is very nicely exposed, but I'm not sure that I would do anything different from my normal processing...I might not even edit my own shot this week. We'll see how I feel on Thursday.
Fortunately, I have found a few guest tutorial writers...starting with Caroline (Frog-Photoblog) to share their knowledge (including some great tips and tricks - if you like freebies, she also shares some free presets on her blog: here) using Lightroom! You may know Caroline from the Communal Global, as she is one of their contributors. Be sure to click over to Caroline's blog for your lesson on Thursday...also let me know if you know of any others that might be interested in sharing their editing knowledge with us.
If you don't use Lightroom or if you're just joining the challenge, this is a great opportunity to review previous lessons. In the meantime, I plan to do two things:

If you don't use Lightroom or if you're just joining the challenge, this is a great opportunity to review previous lessons. In the meantime, I plan to do two things:
- Edit one photo from our FLICKR GROUP. If you are interested in me potentially editing your photo, just add it to the group (make a note in the comment section within flickr if you're adding it to the group but don't want it edited by me).
- I'll also edit my photo (maybe). I will not write a tutorial but I think I'll let you guess what is different.
With that said, be sure to check out other "Laughter" SOOC shots at:
By the way, be sure you click on the button below for tips on becoming a "Word Verification Free" blog.
Have a great Monday!

Love love the water droplets. They add so much fun to the photo.
I agree with the above comment:) I think this picture is way more fun because you were able to capture the water droplets in motion! Looking forward to seeing how you edit this one! I was just telling my sister (who is sitting next to me) that you and I are due for a get together. She leaves in a couple days and I will be in touch soon!!
This is such a fun photo! And I like that you are editing one from the pool now! Can't wait til mine is the one edited by the fabulous Ashely Sisk :D
She makes me giddy ...love the waterdrops!

This is such a fun shot! Can't wait to see what you do with it. And amen to no word verification! :)
I think you shared this image with us... so much fun captured. You two really connected on this shoot. Enjoy Kat's class, I think it's going to be awesome.
What a great picture!
This would be perfect for i heart this week!
perfect timing with the expression and water!!
Such a great shot and I relly love the water droplets!
This IS a great shot. It would be sort of fun to see what someone else would do with it...not that it needs anything done to it!
I agree. It's lovely just the way it is!
This has always been one of my favorite photos from this session! Can't wait to see what you do to it...though it really doesn't need much...
Love this shot!

Casey really is the best model- I wish she was here for me to photograph her!! Can't wait to see what you decide on Thursday!
A really fun laughter capture! As usual I look forward to your edit...even if it is not of this photo!
what an adorable shot!! this is the cutest and such a fun capture! Just love it!!
Great Shot :-) Thanks for all the 'heads-up's too! I hope I do you proud! Cx
Definitely a great laughter shot of Casey. I can't wait to check out Caroline's blog and learn about Lightroom. YIPPEE.
I'm convinced that Casey never looks bad in a photo, ever. Of course, it helps that you're the one behind the camera, too! :D
Casey is so natural with the lens pointed at her. Your images of her are always appealing. I love the water splashes-they add voice to the moment.
Great shot!! How fun a look on her face and the capture, I think you pointed out the focus on her foot. I'm looking forward to the edit, its really a fun foto!
Great photo
