Spiderweb Bokeh

Linking up with Hallie Westcott for 50mm Friday.I’m always in awe of other people’s spiderweb photos, but never seem to run into them myself…that is until the other day on my way to lunch. Thank goodness I carry  my camera with me everywhere because I was quickly able to snap this shot. Not only did I capture the spider, his victim and his web…but I also captured that beautiful, bright bokeh! I applied Kim Klassen’s latest Magic Texture pack in post-processing. Earlier today, Faith posted an image of her and her new son, Eli. After about 25 minutes of trying to edit the image herself, she thought it might be better to let her readers give it a try. Still Life Standout

I absolutely love still life photography. So, when I saw Branson, Courtney K., and Courtney N.‘s new challenge, “Still Life Standouts,” I got a bit excited. My only dilemma…selecting my favorite still life shot from the month of July. Ultimately, I chose the above image because it’s a little different from my typical processing and presentation.
