| Linking up with Hallie Westcott for 50mm Friday. |
I’m always in awe of other people’s spiderweb photos, but never seem to run into them myself…that is until the other day on my way to lunch. Thank goodness I carry my camera with me everywhere because I was quickly able to snap this shot. Not only did I capture the spider, his victim and his web…but I also captured that beautiful, bright bokeh! I applied Kim Klassen’s latest Magic Texture pack in post-processing.
By the way, our niece will be visiting us for the weekend. I will still have Scavenger Hunt Sunday up as normal…otherwise, I’ll be away from my computer (likely with camera in hand). I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

You know my thing for creepy little spiders, so I’m all over this
Really cool that you were able to shoot the image without walking INTO the web. Your 50mm isn’t also a Macro, is it? Love the post process and the vibrancy of color.

Lately I’ve been totally fascinated by the colors and bokeh in the background of pictures. This picture is a perfect example of why. I love it!
Hey, do you catch yourself paying attention to bokeh in the background shots on movies and TV or is that just me?
Great shot of the spider and his lunch.
That rocks!! Love the bokeh
i hate spiders- but i love this photo!
I love it, but then again I have been really into photographing spiders lately and their webs! haha
I love this, Ashley! I’ve yet to stumble on an awesome spider web.
By the way, congrats on your gorgeous photo at The Mommy Matters!
Holy schmoly, great image.
Have fun with your niece. I hope that’s the one that always makes such a great model and that your hubby has so much fun with. If that’s the one-I love her spunk.
Awesome shot! Love the all the details you captured!
On a side note- I’m wanting to buy a new lens. I’m trying to debate between a macro, wide-angle, and telephoto lens. We’ll be going on vacation soon to FL and later to Hawaii. Any recommendations on which lens to purchase first for the views we plan to take in? And does anyone know any major difference btwn. the ultra-wide zoom lens & the wide-angle lens? Any suggestions welcome! Thanks!
