Shoot and Edit: Week 38 – Fall SOOC
Welcome to the 38th week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1. Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials. This week our theme or prompt is “Fall” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot…much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).

It doesn’t quite feel like fall yet in North Carolina. Sure we had about three days of 60 degree temperatures, but it’s jumped right back into the 80s. On top of that, it’s been raining for days. Nonetheless, we experienced a taste of Fall while in London and Paris. I’ll be sharing more of those photos over the next few days, but this is one of my SOOC shots taken while walking to Versailles.

I actually played around with the editing on this photo about a week ago, but I have no idea what lesson I’ll be “teaching” – I guess you’ll just have to wait until Thursday. In the meantime, be sure to check out other “Fall” SOOC shots at:
Good to WOW

I am all ready with my first before and afters. Cannot wait to link up and see yours! And on top of all this you chose photo of horses…destiny I say.

This is so lovely. Wonderful scenery. I love the foreground blur. Cannot wait to see your edit!

Ahhh… this picture = clam, serene, relaxed. overall, i’m smitten with it.

Horseys! Just love them. Like you mentioned, it hardly feels or looks like Fall here in Texas. We have lots of brown leaves but that is from the drought and trees dying :( When they said “Fall is near” on the news the other night I wanted to laugh.

What a beautiful shot!! Love the perspective! Can’t wait to see more from your trip!!!

Great shot! Love it SOOC. Can’t wait to see your edit.

What a beautiful place- so calming & peaceful! Can’t wait to see what you do- I’m sure it will be nothing short of spectacular.

oh my…………..I LOVE HORSES!!! I love them even more now that I don’t see them everyday.

I used to drive a 30 minute route to work every day when I lived in Kentucky that was nothing, but rolling hills, horse farms, white fences, and curvy roads. It was always so relaxing and wonderful start and end to my day.

That’s a really nice sooc capture through those nettles. That’s one field of expensive livestock in there!

Great SOOC, I can’t wait to see what you do it…I know it will be great! I also want some fall crisp air…come on already!! We are in the 80’s too..ugh

Very pretty. We have nothing showing fall here yet, wish we did.

Beautiful! Love the horses grazing in the green, green grass. Can’t wait to see what you teach us this week!

Lovely image! One of the things I love about the British Isles is that it feels like perpetual fall. My favorite!

This is such a beautiful photo! Love the calmness of it. Looking forward to seeing your edit, although this is pretty perfect sooc.

I love this photo already! :-) Horses, sigh.

French horses…well, how COOL is that?! Lovely capture!

Great shot, Ashley! I love how the branches and leaves frame the horses.

Those horses are beautiful! I can’t believe its still in the 80’s there!

I really like this picture. I almost feel like a house stalker, though.

YAY horses!!! I love all photos of horses! I love the sneaking feeling of the photo too.

I like how you framed the horses in the fence, and how green everything still is! :) While I kinda got an autumn-itch going on, I’m still not quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet…

pretty horses. Can`t wait to see what you do to this already nice capture.

I like your perspective on this shot! I look forward to the edit! :-)

Can’t wait to see more London shots too!!!

The perspective and framing in this photo are lovely. Looking forward to whatever lesson you have for Thursday :o). Thank you for sharing!

Since hooking up with sooc to wow those many weeks ago, I now actually begin to imagine what an edit will look like, it has opened up so many possibilities in my brain. Thanks for taking the time to help us grow.

    That’s a pretty shot.

Maybe I’ll join in this week… gotta get back into the swing of things. ;)

I love your site! You just got yourself a new fan. Following you via GFC. Playing Blog hop tag, YOU’RE IT! Tag me back at: and on facebook

Gah…this is already beautiful, because it has horses in it! :)
