Shoot and Edit: Week 48 – Holiday/Christmas SOOC
Welcome to the 48th week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1! Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials. This week our theme or prompt is “Holiday/Christmas” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot…much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).

This past weekend, we visited with my in-laws. After dinner on Saturday night, we all went downtown to see the lights. Once again, I forgot my tripod, but I was still able to capture some neat shots. Here is one of them:

I’m pretty happy with my SOOC shot…it really just requires my typical workflow. As for my tutorial this week, I have another special treat this week. In response to my invitation to write guest tutorials, Cedar has offered to write a tutorial for us on Thursday. I’m really looking forward to it.

With that in mind, as we enter the final weeks of Shoot and Edit (good to WOW) I also invite anyone else who is interested in writing a guest editing tutorial to send me an email…or at least provide more ideas for tutorials. And be sure to check out other “Holiday/Christmas” SOOC shots at:

That is a realy neat shot. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Okay, I am going to join this week. For a long time I’ve been looking at great shots and edits but I was too lazy to join. What kind of guest tutorials are you lokoing for?

    Beautiful!!!!

    Have a blessed week :-D

Beautiful decorations…wonderfully captured! (not easy without a tripod, I’m sure). And, yay you, for speading “Word Verication Free” blogging…it seriously drives me up the wall!! (and, it’s thanks to you mentioning something similar a while back, that I made my blog word verication free…so, hopefully I don’t drive anyone up the wall because of THAT, at least ;D)

(sigh!) I love white christmas trees. They’re so pretty! I wanted one this year, but in a houseful of males (the two girl cats don’t count) I got voted off the island. ;)

I LOVE this photo – oh my gosh – it is beautiful!

Are you doing the HOliday Bokeh party at Darcy’s place (M3b)? You are a rockstar at Bokeh so I’d love to see what you do! (you inspire me!)

    Hi Ashley!

I just had to tell you once again how much I love your blog and am so glad Karli pointed me in your direction!!! :o)

I also wanted to Thank You so Much for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet compliments! I know this is way over due, but I wanted to say ‘Thank You’!

Perfect shot, I have an ornament just like the red present one but it’s green.

Beautiful! I can’t wait to get a tree for the photo ops. :)

And love your fun new header!

    What a beautiful tree!

First – beautiful shot! White Christmas trees always look so neat!

Second – your new header is awesome. I love your socks.

Third – have you had a tutorial on how to make your own storyboard type things yet? If not, I might be interested in writing one!
