Shoot and Edit: Week 49 – Bokeh Lights…SOOC
Welcome to the 49th week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1! Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials. This week our theme or prompt is “Bokeh Lights” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot…much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).

I’m going to continue using some photos from my revisit visit with my in-laws. Here’s a couple of SOOC shots where I wanted some of the lights in focus while also seeing the bokeh of the lights downtown. I’ve included two shots to illustrate the difference between an ISO of 800 vs. 2000.

I’m not too worried about my edit this week (yes – I’ll still share my edit) because I have another special treat this week. In response to my invitation to write guest tutorials, Mira Crisp has offered to write a tutorial for us on Thursday. I think she’ll be sharing how to create bokeh in Photoshop, but I won’t hold her to it. Either way, I’m really looking forward to it.

With that in mind, as we enter the final weeks of Shoot and Edit (good to WOW) I also invite anyone else who is interested in writing a guest editing tutorial to send me an email…or at least provide more ideas for tutorials. And be sure to check out other “Bokeh Lights” SOOC shots at:
