Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Can you believe it’s February? I mean, I guess it was February last week, but it just now hit me. Other things that have hit me…a massive headache. I’m pretty sure it’ll be gone by the time this post launches, but I thought I’d mention it just in case you wanted to feel sorry for me (ha ha – just kidding). Anyways, if you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by  Jenny Rain and Honey Mommy.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Facial Feature
Kitty Nose RS
I took a similar shot around this time last year. I really didn’t plan on taking another photo of Kitty Paw (alright – who am I kidding…of course I was), but she’s so darn cute that I couldn’t help myself.

2. Shadow
London Eye Shadow RS
This is the only archived photo I used this week, but I just processed it. As it turns out, the sun rarely came out this week. Well it did yesterday (Saturday), but I had a huge headache so I wasn’t much in the mood to get outside. Anyways, this was taken on the London Eye during my vacation in September.

3. Spicy
Spicy RS
I had a few ideas for spicy, but spicy presented itself to me over dinner last night when my husband ordered schezwan chicken. I stay away from anything that spicy – there’s no reason for unnecessary heartburn.

4. Gold
Gold RS
I always knew that I wanted to frame our wedding invitation, so I kept the invitation itself rather simple. My mom had one of her artist friends paint the flowers and then framed it in this gold frame. I love it.

5. Fabric
Fabric RS
Finally, I love this fabric. My mom found it for me when we were decorating my townhouse (before I met my husband). If it wasn’t so expensive, we probably would have done more than a couple of pillows and a seat cushion. Either way, my mom has great taste…so I’ll definitely be using her expertise as we decorate the nursery.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):
  1. Love (Jenny Rain’s suggestion)
  2. Duplicated (Jenny Rain’s suggestion)
  3. Trend or Trending (Jenny Rain’s suggestion: you might go to Twitter to identify topics that are trending and take a photo that symbolizes that trend)
  4. Paper (Honey Mommy’s suggestion)
  5. Plastic (Honey Mommy’s suggestion)
Again, thank you to Jenny Rain and Honey Mommy for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!

I can’t even believe that it is February. Where is the time going? Love your kitty : )

    Lovin’ that furry face! :)

Wonderful shot of Kitty Paw. And yes, you will do good teaming up with your mom again to decorate the nursery!

Great shots. Love your facial feature and fabric photos. Time is going by way too fast.

What a nice touch to frame your wedding invitation. It is really elegant. As much as I live spicy food I did not eat it while pregnant…. Which was so hard.

Such a great idea to frame the invitation. Your cat is beautiful!

Aww, another cute shot of Kitty Paw. I have to say I never thought about framing our wedding invitation. What a lovely idea, and it looks so beautiful.
If I didn’t know that food was spicy I would be wanting some of it right now. Looks good.

I love the Kitty Paw shot! Lovely. Your shadow is really nice as well. The food is calling me!

Love that pillow! Your mom does have good taste. :) And I love your gold shot too. Have a wonderful week!

It’s way too hard to choose a favourite between you photos – I really love looking through them. Particularly in awe of your spicy shot.

Oh Ashley your SPICY!!!!! So pretty!

Ooooo! I LOVE your gold picture! Great set this week, Ashley.

I used to get headaches a lot(I never get/got headaches) when I was pregnant too and my OB always told me to drink more water. It totally worked! I have my wedding announcement (we eloped in Jamaica -no one knew except my in-laws(who we only told the day before we left) who mailed out the announcements when we were there) on my wall too. I see it every time I walk in my house!

I love that gold frame for your wedding invite.. so pretty (both the frame and the invite)!

Mmmm, that food looks so yummy! Love the gold framed invitation and the pillow fabric. Kitty-paw is so cute as always.

Great set Ashley! Love your Kitty Paw shot, so soft but striking in B&W! Fabulous shadow!

Being a sister to be has made Kitty Paw even more gorgeous. And love your fabric.

Woof Ashley I’m so drooly back. And I posted my letter to Kitty P. I also added Keeper’s link. And now I’m off to visit the hoomans!

    Food for Thought

Love the colors in that fabric! Such a pretty wedding invitation – love how you have it on display!!

The Szechuan chicken look so delicious that it makes me drool just looking at it now. I love spicy food. When I was pregnant with my boy I craved nothing but Indian food, anything that is spicy! Love your bright and cheery colors cushion.

Love the picture of your cat.. it looks so serious.

Love your invitation- it’s so pretty!

Great set! Love the shot of Kitty Paw! She certainly is a pretty cat. And love that pillow!

Totally feel badly about the headache…and it’s likely you can’t take much. Hope it’s passed by now.
Of course you had to take more pics of Kitty Paw…and this one is sweet. I take a gazillion pics of my pets. Your Mom does have great taste-and your hubby’s dinner looks really good.

Loving your spicy shot and your furry little face. :)

Great photos, I still haven’t gotten around to framing my wedding invitation yet.

I love them all. My favorite though is spicy and shadow. Love it. Giving up spicy food has to be hard!!!

Your food looks so inviting and I’m not even a fan of spicy stuff. Love the fabric and the picture frame! I would have never thought of framing a wedding invitation:)

I took a photo of my kitty for the facial feature prompt, too. Beautiful photos as always! I’ll link up tomorrow.

Great set this week, now I’m going to have to have some chinese for dinner soon! Hope you are feeling good!

LOVE your fabric! So pretty! I always wanted to decorate our nursery in elegant “renaissance rabbits” (there was a card series out awhile back with the most beautiful drawings) or Beatrix Potter. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Mmmmm…. love that Spicy photo. Looks delicious :)

Of course I love seeing Kitty Paw! Who could help but love that cute little face!
    Your wedding invitation is lovely!

Sorry to hear of the headache… hope it’s definitely gone by now!! Big headache week here too… ick. Love your shot of kitty paw and the shadow is lovely!! Have a great week!

Oooh, your wedding invitation is so pretty–my grandparents had something similar done with theirs and had hand-drawn flowers added to it and framed; I just need to find a good place to display it in the house! (Prilosec works like magic for me in regards to heartburn–give it a try if you’re still having issues!)

Such great shots.. I have to say your spicy shot is my favorite.. That looks so yummy!!

Spacy and the Cat are your best photos this time !!!!

    Erika B

She is a really pretty kitty! I wish I could get more of mine. But she hates the big black box! ;)

Oh Kitty Paw. Just love her!

This is my firs time participating. I’m going to make it a goal of mine to participate each week. Love your Kitty photo!

Love your feature shot and the perspective on gold! We received two gold framings of our wedding invitation with some flowers as gifts…they went perfectly together from totally different people.

I love that shot of Kitty Paw!!
