Scavenger Hunt Sunday
I don’t have much to talk about today, so let’s get right to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Sacha of Sacha’s Saucy Snippets.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Water
Water in the Sink RS
The above shot is pretty similar to others I’ve posted in the past. This time, I decided to leave the knife from my banana and peanut butter sandwich in the sink. As you’ll see in a couple of images, I have a thing for bananas and peanut butter. Yum.

2. Light
Lit Up RS
You all know that I have a brown thumb. When my husband and I moved in together, he really hated that I used so many fake plants…but I only kept them because I tended to kill real ones. He still wanted to try to grow a few real plants…so we decided to get some of those water globes to keep them from dying. Not only do the water globes work great (our plants are thriving), but the light pouring through them is pretty cool too.

3. Chocolate
Chocolate Smoothie RS
I mentioned the other day that I had the most delicious chocolate, banana, peanut butter, protein smoothie for lunch. If there’s one thing lately that I’ve been craving, it’s a good chocolate protein smoothie. I got turned onto them one day while waiting for a flight home – happened to be at Starbucks. This time I went to Smoothie King. While both were really good, the Smoothie King smoothie cost a bit more.

4. Animal
Stuff Bunny RS
This is our daughter’s first stuffed animal…a pink bunny. I also took a few pictures of Kitty Paw, but I’m going to save them for the Quarterly Top 5 (coming soon).

5. Crowded
Crowded City RS
This is my only archived image this week. I saw several opportunities to capture “crowded,” but the image I really wanted just didn’t seem appropriate. For some reason, I feel uncomfortable taking photos during our church service. That, and this weekend…wasn’t so crowded with the ACC tournament going on. Instead, this is an view of London – the city looks pretty crowded to me.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Sacha of Sacha’s Saucy Snippets:
  1. Vintage
  2. Word or Quote
  3. Nature’s Own
  4. People
  5. Photographer’s Choice
Again, thank you to Sacha for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!

Loved the pink bunny photo…but your photos are always inspiring! The water globes didn’t work for us because we forgot to fill them! I still have some of them, but can’t seem to remember to use them, so I have declared a moratorium on plants in the house! Have a great day!

    Food for Thought

Enjoyed your shots as always. My favorite this week was Light! thanks for hosting this party. It is one of the highlights of my week! Linda

The Animal shot is so sweet!

I love the water globe! Since I had my little girl, I am having a harder time keeping my plants happy. I am going to have to look into buying some of these pretties!

I really love the texture of that water shot. Lovely pink, it looks just so soft and cuddly! Have a great day, Ashley!

Beautiful captures! Love that light shot and that sweet bunny. ;)

love the light and crowded shot :D

    Love your crowded shot :)
    (thanks for hosting!)

Great shots. That smoothie sounds so good! Makes me want one :)

Loved the pink bunny, it made me think of the Lollie doll my daughter had. I slipped a pacifier around the leg of the doll and she carried the doll upside down to suck on her pacifier!

I also liked the water shot. Interesting.

Blessings as you grow a new little girl,

    LOVE your water photo!! :)

What a cute little pink bunny. I remember when I found out my first son (who is now 19) was a boy, the first thing I went out to buy was a little musical blue teddy bear that was lying down on its tummy sleeping. In fact we still have it somewhere I think.
I really like your water shot. And I have to say, I also have a thing for peanut butter and banana (or peanut butter and chocolate), but I haven’t had the three together. The smoothie sounds delicious.

Oh Ashley… the pink just makes my heart happy! You are going to have so much fun getting ready for your baby girl to arrive! BEAUTIFUL shots mama.

A few things. The water image made me smile. That scene is so familiar. Next, I love the light shot, and my favorite is your crowded image. Stunning!

    Hugs, Linda

    Her first lovie! :D Awww.

I need to look into those water globes. I remember to water.. when my plants are all droopy. ;)

Great set! I think I may join in this evening (if I remember) but I am wondering, have you ever tried slicing up the banana into small slices then puting peanut butter on them (like little sandwiches) and puting them in the freezer? My grandmother started me doing this and I love it.

I love the light image. I especially love the stuffed animal one. I loved the moment we bought our babies their first toy. Such a special moment.

I don’t think I can choose a favorite, the entire set is amazing! Although I do have to say you and Matt have a liking for Peanut Butter and Banana sandwiches. LOL!

Love love your light and water. Great entires.
I cannot wait to see your baby girl :)

First and foremost, congratulations on the birth of you daughter! wishing you many happy times together.
Your crowded image is wonderful! I like the colors and the romantic quality–there’s a bit of a mystery to it.
I make smoothies at home and never thought of adding peanut butter. I think I will try this, although it may be almond butter or a handful of cashews.

I absolutely love this set. And peanut butter + bananas = Heaven! I ate pb&b everyday for lunch when I was in HS. :)

Sorry I am later than usual this week! ;) it was an unusually busy weekend & Monday. yikes ;) Love your water shot! so cool. and I have a brown thumb too… a neighbor just gave me her plants (she moved) and I know I will kill them… maybe I’ll try those globes… they are pretty! ;)
