Happy Easter! I hope everyone has had a great weekend. We’ve been quite busy between moving furniture (not me, obviously), visiting family and church…so if it takes me a bit to visit everyone’s interpretations, you know why. I’ll also have to update you on the grandma situation. The one grandma who had a heart attack last weekend is now home – not out of the woods by any means, but home. My other grandma was in the process of being moved to the hospital last time I checked (as I’m writing this post) – I’m hoping that I’ll have a chance to see her this weekend as well, but I need to find her first. Either way, please continue to keep my family in your prayers.
Now, let’s get back to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Krista at One Beautiful Life.
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. New
You won’t believe this (or maybe you will), but I have finally joined the world of Apple. I got my very first (and obviously NEW) iPhone on Thursday! I have no idea what I’m doing, but I did manage to download Instagram and take a photo. If you want to follow me on Instagram, look for AshleySisk (that should be easy, right?) or you can follow me HERE. Now that I’ve figured that much out, you’ll have to tell me what other apps are a must for this blogging photographer.
2. Life

I feel like there is a lot of new life growing in and around me this Spring – how appropriate for Easter to be during this season. Until I loaded this image, I didn’t realize how much it looked like a crown of thorns (the bokeh)…which of course reminds me of what Christ gave for me.
3. Fragrant

Our azaleas are blooming right now. The other day, we were in the process of deconstructing a couple of bedrooms to make room for the nursery. While I was waiting for my husband to return with a truck, I couldn’t help but wander around our yard with my camera. I don’t actually remember what they smell like, but they symbolize the fragrance of spring flowers in bloom.
4. Pink

This particular shot could have qualified for “new” and “pink.” It’s my brand new Cheeky Lime bag. I’ve been carrying my pewter Jo Tote bag for about a year and a half – it went with us to Europe and goes with me everyday to work. The other day, I was out for lunch with a few of my coworkers. As I was setting my bag down to eat, I noticed that the bottom of the bag was really showing some wear…as in the wiring was hanging out. One of my coworkers is a bit of a male fashionista…he quickly pointed out to me that my bag had reached it’s expiration date. I suppose I could have just switched over to the other camera bag I occasionally use (won last year during the Shoot and Edit series), but I’m also thinking of baby. So, I went on the hunt for a new bag that would later accommodate diapers, wipes, etc. Sarah Halstead suggested Cheeky Lime, and I’m so glad she did. My bag arrived on Thursday afternoon – isn’t it GORGEOUS?! If you’re in need of a camera bag…and want something that looks more like a purse, totally check out Cheeky Lime. Also check out Jo Totes – I love them too! And if either store is reading this, I’d love to host a giveaway.
5. Obvious

Or is this too obvious?
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Krista at One Beautiful Life:
- Simple
- Grain
- Transportation
- Stitch
- Bubble(s)
Again, thank you to Krista for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way – and I appreciate all of you that have submitted lists already…my SHS file is quite happy). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
