You won’t believe this…and I’ve been waiting for the right time to tell you, but we’re having TWINS! Okay – who am I kidding? April Fools! I am the absolute worst person for practical jokes (minus hiding the occasional briefcase at the office), so why try? On a more serious note, my grandmother had a heart attack yesterday morning. We’re on our way to visit this morning. I talked to her yesterday and she seemed to be in good spirits, but I would certainly appreciate your prayers for her.
Now, let’s get back to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Kimberly of A Fresh Perspective.

- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Clouds

Last weekend, we visited my in-laws. I haven’t been to visit them since Christmas (although they came to see us in January) so it was nice to see everyone. On Saturday evening, after eating dinner at the church, we came back to the house for some homemade ice cream. It was such a beautiful day that I couldn’t help but walk around with my camera. I love the way the clouds are blowing in.
2. Sun Flare

This photo was taken the same day, probably within the same 10 minute time span. I decided to dial up (or dial down depending on how you think about it) my aperture to create a star burst effect. I also managed to get a little flare.
3. Seven

Our niece is currently SEVEN years old…at least until her birthday in May. I can’t even tell you what she’s doing in this shot – probably planning her next series of cart wheels.
4. High Angle

The next two photos were taken just yesterday at Daisy‘s 2nd Birthday party. I’ll be sure to share a more detailed preview later this week. Anyways, this isn’t a tremendously high angle, but I did take this particular shot from above. Daisy was showing off her brand new tricycle.
5. Low Angle

Another view of the tricycle from a much lower perspective. It was so funny to watch her eyes light up as she finally saw it behind the rest of her new toys. Happy Birthday Daisy – I hope you had as much as I did!
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Kimberly of A Fresh Perspective:
- New
- Life
- Fragrant
- Pink
- Obvious
Again, thank you to Kimberly for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
