I don’t think I have to tell you how quickly this month…year is flying by, but let’s be honest, time is flying. Hard to believe that in two and a half months, I’ll be having a baby. Part of me is convinced that these months will also fly by, but our North Carolina humidity is already settling in. It’s going to be hot!
But enough of that, let’s get back to the Scavenger Hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Catherine at No Wooden Spoons.
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Rainbow

I could have dived into my archives for an actual “rainbow” – maybe one with a leprechaun on one end, but I decided to take an alternate route. Here I’m wearing my favorite pair of flip flops…RAINBOWS! And that green thing…that’s my belly.
2. Fluffy

What’s fluffier than clouds? Granted, these clouds have a hint of rain in them, but they are definitely fluffy.
3. Letters

This is probably my least favorite photo this week. I’m not quite ready to release our baby girl’s name so I don’t have those “letters,” but I do know that when a “letter” arrives in the mail…it is typically placed in a mailbox. Right?
4. Metal

During my scavenger hunt walk on Thursday afternoon, I noticed a strange eye drawn on the side of a metal dumpster. I took a completely different shot earlier in the day, but I’m drawn to this bit of weirdness.
5. Tree(s)

I’ve been trying to capture the squirrels in our office parking lot for a long time. While I was walking around the other day, this squirrel posed for me on a tree. I was a little surprised that he didn’t run away when I moved in closer.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Catherine at No Wooden Spoons:
- Beneath Your Feet
- Capturing Movement
- Texture
- Face Your Fears
- Currently
Again, thank you to Catherinefor so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way – and I appreciate all of you that have submitted lists already…my SHS file is quite happy). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
PS: I’m attending a wedding today so I’ll plan to visit your blogs either tonight or tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday.
