This past week, my office threw me a baby shower. So…in addition to my weekly bump report, I thought I’d also share a few photos from the shower. A huge thank you goes out to my friend Mary who took over my camera (after I took a few detail photos) so that we could capture the event.

How big is the baby: Our baby measures over 16 inches long and weighs about 3.3 pounds. From the looks of my eating lately…and the size of my belly, she’s going through a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin.
Total weight gain: Since last week, I’ve gained another half a pound for a total of 17.5 lbs since the start of my pregnancy. I’m convinced that I’m going to start packing on a lot more lbs in the next couple of weeks…especially since I seem to get hungry every couple of hours.
Sleep: Kitty Paw has decided that she really likes my heat – so she sleeps right on top of me. I really don’t mind while I’m sleeping, but getting up to use the bathroom is interesting.
Best moments of the week:

Exercise: Yes, I’m still working out…or shall I say, I’m walking two minutes and managing to do a few light weight training exercises in addition to stretching.
Movement: She is still HEADS DOWN (according to my doctor yesterday) and still moving quite a bit. I definitely feel her moving from side to side. It’s as if she is trying to get comfortable. The other day, I swore I felt her butt on one side of my stomach while her legs were stretched out towards my ribs. It looks like we’re both feeling a little cramped.
Gender: STILL Girl!
What I’m looking forward to: Two things: 1) Maternity Photos this afternoon and 2) our baby party next Sunday! We decided to host a “babyQ” of sorts for all our local friends and their families rather than having another shower (although I still have one more in my hometown). My husband will be grilling out and it’ll just be a good time for all.
What I miss: My energy mostly.
Next Appointment: June 15th.

How far along: 31 weeks (technically, 31 weeks and 3 days today)…two months left!

Maternity Clothes: Uh huh.

If you couldn’t tell from the pictures, my best moment this week was the baby shower thrown by my office. Between my coworkers, Mary and Michelle, they threw an incredible shower. I’m still enjoying some of that cupcake cake…yum. I received a lot of goodies – people do love to shop for little girls!
Food cravings: Still nothing specific – my favorites are still in tact (peanut butter and banana sandwiches, cereal, protein smoothies, frozen yogurt, etc), but I’ve found myself wanting Chick Fil A whenever anyone asks me what I want to eat. I think it has more to do with it being a restaurant we try to avoid…ya know, along with all the other fast food restaurants. It really is so good though.
Food aversions: Nothing new.
Symptoms (these will be a repeat from last week):
- Circulation issues…check.
- Heartburn…check.
- Flat belly button on it’s way to becoming an outtie…check.
- Lower back pain (at night)…check.
- Veins…check.
- Increased butt size (this makes me cry and laugh at the same time)…check.
- Braxton Hicks contractions…I am definitely having them.

Mary said that I give some of the best faces – I thought everyone else might enjoy those faces. |
