Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy Sunday…and happy belated birthday to my dad (his birthday was yesterday). Did everyone have a good week? I think I’ve fallen into full blown nesting, so blogging has fallen by the wayside. In fact, yesterday I must have played with our stroller/infant carrier for at least 30-45 minutes…after washing bassinet pad covers and sheets…and after doing a little post-shower shopping. My back hurts a bit now as I’m writing this post, but I do love doing stuff like that.
Anyways, let’s get back to the Scavenger Hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Tayet Silverspoon:
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Shine
Shiny Rattle RS
I didn’t get around to the Scavenger Hunt until yesterday afternoon…and by yesterday, I mean Saturday at 2:30 pm…just before Casey came over to take some maternity Photos. When I think of “shine,” I immediately think of the sun. It didn’t really get sunny though until late late afternoon, so I went with an alternate interpretation…a shiny baby rattle.

2. Fast
IMG_7063 BW RS
This is the only photo (photos) that I did not take this week. I am still editing Zan’s 9 month portrait session (in fact, I really need to finish these up). As I was sorting through my photos, I recall how fast he was moving. Pre-pregnancy, this would not have been a problem. Pregnant, I am way too slow for this little mover.

3. Left
Left Frame Doll RS
This baby toy is left-aligned. Creative right?

4. Peace
Enjoying a Little Peace RS
I decided to take a photo of our bassinet to illustrate “peace.” We better enjoy these st few moments of peace and quiet now – I know they will soon be gone.

5. Plain
Plain White RS
For some reason, “plain” really tripped me up. However, when I look at our little girl’s bathroom, the white shower curtain on white does look kinda plain. I prefer classy…and the splashes of pink that you don’t see in the picture really doll it up.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Tayet Silverspoon:
  1. Travel
  2. Silly
  3. Black and White
  4. Spots
  5. Paper
Again, thank you to Tayet for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way – and I appreciate all of you that have submitted lists already…my SHS file is quite happy). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!

    Sooo girlie…love it!

Great shots Ashley. Love that first one and the last one. Can’t wait to see the maternity photos that Casey captured.

I love your Shine shot and the peace shot is lovely (went in about the same direction with the interpretation of Peace but mine had the baby in it). Cute baby toy by the way.

    LOVE all the pink!

My favorite is your shiny rattle! It is so pretty and the composition of the shot (with the reflection) is great! And do love all the pink. I’m hoping, for your sake, that your bassinet knows many hours of peace!

I can really tell you’re getting ready for baby. Almost all your pictures are pink this week. Love it! :)

Gorgeous soft & pink in your photos this week, very exciting as it gets close to baby time!

Awwwwwwww. I love all the pink : ) The toy is adorable. I get so excited for you every time I come to visit now. She is going to be here so soon!

You have captured the peace prompt perfectly . . . love it.

You have a lots of pink in your photos. I like most shine and peace photos !!

You are always so creative! I like all of them…but “shine” was great – nice selfie too!

I really love the pink theme of this set :)

Lovely set Ashley. I see pink is taking over your pretty home :)

Love all the pink throughout – so soft and pretty! I love mainly white bathrooms with pops of color and I am sure your little one’s is so sweet!

All of your pictures are so beautiful. I don’t think I could even pick a favorite. How exciting that you are getting so close to your due date! :)

    Great photos – love Peace!

beautiful, soft set this week!! i had trouble with left and plain. each later came to me when i was not thinking about them, two of those a-ha moments.

sometimes we try too hard….”i don’t want my hot dog plain”, i said and there it was!!

    Hi Ashley,
Great snapshots! Love the doll and the peace shots. Enjoy the quiet now. Have a great day!

    Food for Thought

I love your photos! The softness, the colors….. I feel like I got my baby fix for the day :)

Love the shine, and the shot of the bassinet with that sweet trim on the bumper pad! You MUST give us the complete tour of all things for baby girl! So excited for you.

I have been wanting to participate in this for so long (like 2 yrs yikes!) and I finally did it. Thanks for the inspiration and I love how your photos glow with anticipation of your baby girl. So sweet!

I’m loving all the dreamy pink & white Ashley. The reflection of you in the rattle is so cool.

Love all the baby goodies. These worked so nice as a collection together!!

I can see you’re in full baby mode. How nice to have a shower and receive “the stuff” you need. That bassenet looks peaceful, but I understand from my bro and sis in law, there’ll be no sound sleeping for years and years. As stumped as you were on plain, you made it work.

What I enjoy the most about the “scavenger” hunt, is people’s interpretations of the words, seems “plain” will prove interesting. You said it stumped you and for me I really delved into the meaning of the word! lol Hope your DH rubs your back for you! ;) waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Love the rattle and that you can see the popcorn kernel yellow of the room. Gorgeous!

Beautiful set, Ashely! Love all things girlie!!!

Love to see all the preparations for the new arrival. And yes, enjoy the peace :)

    Gorgeous shots Ashley!!
I love them all but Shine & Fast are my favourites.

Love your pictures. Peace has two meanings for me. Yes your meaning but think of the peace of the new life in your life and the peace and joy. Thanks

These are all so beautiful, but I really LOVE that shine shot. Perfection!

Super set, I love the sweetness in this set with all the girly “pink”.
My favorite of your set is the (Left) shot. That is a darling baby toy.

Strange you seem to have pink on the brain. LOL.

Absolutely adorable pictures, can’t even pick a favorite <3 :)

Sweet set of photos :) My favorite is peace <3
    Pia xx

Love your set of photos, they are beautiful.

I love all of the soft pink touches in the photos. Yes, enjoy the peace now. It will soon be gone. ;) Totally worth it, though.

Love your shine shot! Especially love your reflection in it!

Terrific interpretations for the prompts. Loving all that pink!

I just discovered your blog through “Good Girl Gone Wife” and I think I am in love :) I definitely want to participate in the scavenger hunt Sunday! It will push me to use my new camera and work on my photography! Great idea – I cannot wait for next week!

Le sigh… pink!!!… I’m living vicariously. ;) I really adore that serene bassinet.

Ashley wonderful shots this week. Hopefully I’ll get mine together before the deadline! I am so glad we get a few extra days :)

Beautiful shots! I love your style!
I was hoping to play along this week, but I’ve worked the last six days straight… tomorrow is my first day off since Memorial Day! I’ve got the list for next week on my phone (this week’s too) – maybe tomorrow I will be inspired!!!

at first I thought your shiny was a door knob awesome set.

I think I like that first one best. Love all the pink :)

Very clever shot for “shine”, the clear reflection really adds a point of interest to your photo. I suppose the majority of participants will shoot some variety of sunshine – no creativity from me on that one!

I have a feeling that your little girl is going to be frilly, pretty, and pink! =)

    Love the photos!

Beautiful images Ashley! I love the soft and clean whites and pinks. And that first shot is so cool!

I’m so excited for you! Yes, you may lose some peace, privacy and sleep, but you gain so much in return. You are going to be a fantastic mama ;)

What adorable pictures! I can’t wait to see the nursery :-)

LOVE your photos so much! The shine one is spectacular

Neat idea and angle for your shine picture.

Zan’s 9 moth portrait is precious.

Thanks for hosing another fun scavenger hunt!

Beautiful shots! The light is excellent. Love the shine pic. I would not have guessed that to be a baby rattle:)

Love that shine!! It’s fun to see the little peeks into your nursery!

I love seeing the glimpses of your nursery!! My favorite is “shine”!

All of the pink is too cute. BTW, love the shots Casey has been sharing on FB.

I love the softness of all these. You baby girl will have such lovely, sweet things.

What soft and lovely photos! so sweet!
Fast is definitely a keyword for babies. moving fast, growing up fast…

I love how your set shows where you are in life right now … waiting for a baby. So exciting! I absolutely LOVE your shine photo! So creative! And the peace photo is so pretty! Love the bassinet!

I didn’t get around to playing this week. :( Things have been a bit nuts around here! Hoping things calm down now that school is done.

I love the photo of the rattle, with your reflection as well as all the pink and white! Sweet photos! I have been looking for a photo challenge to participate in, and hope to join in next week.
