Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday

August 26, 2012
I have to brag on Felicity just a little bit before we get into the scavenger hunt. We finally made it back to church yesterday and decided we better attend family chapel to see how it goes. Felicity absolutely loved worship. Since her head is getting stronger, she was able to bounce on our knees with the music…she just smiled and cooed at us. It was adorable. Zan turns ONE YEAR OLD!
Zan turns ONE YEAR OLD!

August 24, 2012
On Wednesday, I met up with Zan for his one year old portrait session. I’ve been photographing Zan for the past year. Now that Felicity is here, I just can’t afford to let days, weeks or months go by without picking up my camera (not that I’ve ever gone a week without picking up my camera, but I haven’t been picking it up just because). And since I can only handle one “theme” type of challenge (for me, that’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday)…and since I can’t...

Tutorial Tuesday: Free-lensing

August 21, 2012
Welcome to Tutorial Tuesday! Sarah of Naptime Momtog and I will be bringing you a new challenge every week, to stretch your shooting and editing skills. This week, Sarah shares a few tips for a technique I’ve seen but have not tried…until now: free-lensing. Believe it or not, I actually took her advice and gave free-lensing a try. I’ve attempted it in the past, but missed the step about moving my lens to infinity. Duh! Granted, my only subject this week was Felicity…and she spent the entire five minutes crying, but I’m kinda loving the result. I can’t...
