Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Kiss
In the process of trying to capture a certain shot (inspired by my photographer friend, Erin Tole), my husband caught this moment. Felicity still has beautiful deep blue eyes and I’m crossing my fingers that she’ll keep them (hopefully she will since they seem to be dominant on Jeremy’s side of the family). Anyways, she was asleep in the shots prior to this one. When she woke up, I leaned over to give her a kiss. Love it!
2. Askew
I’m not at all inspired by this shot, but the linoleum in our kitchen is definitely askew. See how it curves and pulls away from the wall. At some point, we’ll replace the floor. Until then, here’s what we’ve got.
3. Fragrant
One of our friends gave us a Ollie the Elephant Baby from the Scentsy collection. I try not to attend too many “home parties,” (I tend to host one a year…and attend maybe one or two others) so I’ve missed out on Scentsy’s product line. However, I am loving Ollie. The fragrance is super clean and sweet…and he’s pretty cute too.
4. Simple
I guess I could have photographed anything to represent simple, but I went with the simplicity of a pacifier on the table. We keep one of these within arm’s reach at all times. Granted, she’d much rather have me – but when I’m not available, the pacifier is necessary.
5. Plant
I think I’ve mentioned that prior to getting married, I only had artificial plants. My husband has sine changed that to include a few real plants. This one is our most recent addition. I’m kinda liking a little ivy in our home. Doesn’t hurt that it photographs pretty.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Michelle of Michelle Renee Photography:
1) Cracked 2) Fallen 3) Ordinary Color 4) Bokeh 5) Fence
Again, thank you to Michelle for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way – and I appreciate all of you that have submitted lists already…my SHS file is quite happy). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!

Love the simple soother shot and of course nothing quite compares with kissing a baby.
Awww, loving your kiss, just so sweet!!
Oh wow..I haven’t been visiting yor blog for a long time. Great new look and everthing.
I love your photos this week. Your baby is cute!
She is so cute! I don’t care about the hunt anymore, I love looking at your baby!
Take care. x
That kiss shot is simply adorable and I especially like the dof of your ‘fragrant’ shot.
My fave is that fragrant shot. They have all kinds of stuff for babies-who knew? I’m glad you’re enjoying your little miss so much. She’s growing so fast.
That kiss shot is perfect!
Ashely – these are adorable. I love your kiss shot!!!!
Felicity is just so cute. Her hair reminds me so much of Bennett’s at that age.
Your simple shot is my favorite!!!! It is a great representation of our life at this time
I just love your kiss & simple. So perfect!!!!!
Thanks for the heads up on the Q top 5. I needed that reminder.
All goregousness in the one place – eeek! Love the block of lilac with that kiss photo – genius xxx
Fantastic shots!! And, yes, time does seem to stand still. It did for me even after Emmett was born, and I’m just the grandma. Since momma had to have a C-section, I was there a lot to help out, and tending to him was about the only thing I’d get done during the day. It does get better, though.
Yep, Gina took the words right my mouth! Love those!
Wonderful set again.
I really liked your Kiss shot – Felicity is so adorable and I just love her hair.
Fragrant was cute.
Plant was my favorite from your set. I like the clear focus and look of this shot.
Simple is divine. where would we be without those pacifiers? Kiss is so sweet, and I love watching Felicity change week to week.
Love simplicity. Where would we be without a pacife? Love seeing Felicity from week to week. she’s certainly filling out.
It is so fun watching Felicity grow! Love her baby blues! I think they will hang around! Love the simplicity of the pacifier in the light.
Fragrant is so sweet with Felictiy’s foot in the air.
And..what a neat surprise that you chose my prompts for next week! Thanks, Ashley.
Love that little elephant!
Love the kiss shot! It is perfect! And the little elephant is adorable! Love your simple shot also! Thanks again for using my suggestions! I’m making up a new list.
I love your kiss photo! So adorable!
I had to come back and say, I showed Felicity’s (kiss) photo to my daughter, she had a fit over your daughter. She went on and on about how beautiful she is! Just had to tell you!
I didn’t know Scentsy made frangrant stuffed animals! I’ll have to look into this if I need a baby gift. Your sweet kiss is precious, and Felicity will bloom because of her mommy’s kisses.
Felicity is adorable! Love your simple pic a lot. They are all good though.
Always love seeing images of your sweetie pie. That stuffed animal is so cute, I can almost smell it!!
Love love that sweet kiss shot… and yes… beautiful blue eyes! and the binki shot is fun too… we always had about 80 on hand at all times… Abby was a little addicted to those things! til she was… nevermind!

Simple is brilliant!
Beautiful, I especially love your interpretation of a “kiss”
That’s such a sweet Kiss shot.
We used to have ivy plants all over and I love how they trail and drop down over our bookshelf (we put ours at the very top shelf).
Your photos are all so beautiful. Ollie is super cute. Thanks for hosting the Hunt each week. I really enjoy the challenge.
