Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to another week of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. It’s been another busy week, although I think we’re seeing the beginnings of a routine. YAY! At this point, it doesn’t include much in the way of blogging…but that doesn’t mean that it’ll be this way forever. However, I did still manage to continue my photo a day challenge, and complete the scavenger hunt before time ran out.

With that said, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Ida Krause.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Orange or Pink

Raleigh Family Photographer
I brought my tripod and remote with me out to the pumpkin patch in hopes that we’d capture a family photo. We did just that and I’m pretty happy with the results. Note to self – bring tripod and remote with me more often!

2. Faceless Portrait

Rocky Mount Newborn Photographer
This is another one of my photos from my newborn session with my brother, his fiance and their sweet baby boy. My brother is a farmer, so his hands are a bit rough. I wanted to capture those hands holding his son – I think it’s so sweet and makes for a wonderful faceless portrait.

3. View from the Top

I didn’t get way too creative with this shot – this is my view from the top of Felicity’s activity mat. She really loves swiping at the rings and kicking the monkey that I have by her feet.

4. Cozy

Felicity sleeping
I think I’ve mentioned somewhere that Felicity has been fighting nap time and bedtime. During those times, I just want her to get her rest so she doesn’t get so grumpy later in the day. This was one of those days…she was napping on the couch while I was working on a post. She’s so cozy.

5. Stacked

Does it really get any better than some oreos and milk? I think not.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Ida Krause:
  1. Pattern(s)
  2. Machine
  3. Signs or Logos
  4. Rocks or Stones
  5. Sparkle

Again, thank you to Ida for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list (and I could use some fresh lists), just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

Your orange picture is cute and I love your faceless and cozy!

I will have to send you some SHS prompt ideas. I know I sent some a while back that haven’t been used, but maybe they got lost or your spam filter ate them up!

So happy to see you are getting out with your little one now!

Cozy little Felicity is just adorable . . . love the sleepy head curls. Looks like fun in the pumpkin patch, too.

You have such great creativity and skill. I love your family pic in the pumpkin patch. I love the pic of your brother and his baby.

Thanks for hosting the Scavenger Hunt. I love it.

Love cozy and your brother’s arms shot. Beautiful family portrait too.

Great set. The Orange shot of your family in the Pumpkin Patch is really nice.
Loved the Faceless Portrait shot of your brother and his new baby son.
Also enjoyed your Cozy shot, Felicity has amazing hair.
Thanks for picking my prompts for next week. Now I’ll have no excuse to not get them done on time!

These are great, love the view from above & cosy…so sweet!

I love your shots. Your sweetie sure looks adorable in the cozy shot. And your family portrait for orange is lovely, what a great idea. I thought the faceless portrait was so creative.
Have a great day. I’m going back to sleep now. Can’t believe I woke up, grrrr.(It’s 4am where we live)

I love the colour of the pumpkins and the stacked oreos are great. I have to say I struggled this week for the first time so mine aren’t the greatest – onwwards and upwards for next week!

Oh my goodness, the photos of your brother and of Felicity sleep melts my heart!

What a sweet set of photos.

The faceless portrait is so touching! Felicity keeps getting cuter and cuter!

So beautiful images, lovely moments in the life you are illustrated.

Felicity has the coolest bed hair! Love the faceless portrait and the family pumpkin patch portrait. I think it does, at some point, slow down… though the little ones never do.

oh the baby photos – so, so sweet! I have to agree with your conclusion about Oreos and love the empty space in this shot – fabulous.

I love your family portrait! What a great idea to bring your tripod and remote!

Your faceless shot and cozy are both adorable!

I love your view from the top…. :) So cute….

I just love the faceless portrait shot. Nothing better than strong farmer’s hands.

Love your pumpkin patch pic ~ such joy these new ones….thanks for sharing her with us! And your faceless portrait is wonderful.

These are fabulous Ashley!!! LOVE the family portrait!!!!!!

nothing better then a sleeping, happy baby. sweet dreams i assume, with that cute little smile!!

Faceless portrait-that’s a brilliant shot. I hope your brother keeps and frames that. Amazing image. Cute in the pumpkin patch. Your little one is getting big fast!

I just love your photos.. I love the shot of the three of you in the pumpkin patch.

So sweet! Faceless portrait is perfect. I love your interpretations this week!

Adorable set all around. Love the pumpkin patch shot, Felicity sleeping, and your brother’s hands!

Love your faceless shot! And orange is adorable!!!

i know finding time to take pictures can be difficult with a new little one… but, your SHS keeps me connected to my camera & blogging. thank you for continuing to host this weekly event.
that pic of your brother’s hands would make a great holiday present. someday his baby will appreciate seeing the love of his daddy.

I love the oreos. There is just something about black and white…like that little cozy one!

When I bring my DSLR, I always have my remote with, but never really bring my tripod… I need a new one and definitely will carry it more often. One of my siter even carries her tripod & she only has a point & shoot. I always encourage self-timer if ppl don’t have a remote. Family pics are always great!!!!

I love your pick for Faceless Portrait. I love how you captured the hands, too! Might I add, I long for a farming life, the garden, animals, and all of it! xoxo

These are great! Terrific job with the family portrait.

I love your orange shot! Cozy is so sweet.

Your daugher is so fortunate to have a talented photographer for her mommy!! I love her little outfit in the pumpkin patch photo!! She’s precious!

Felicity is dressed for her first trip to the pumpkin patch. I love the faceless portrait, and the photo of Felicity sleeping. Such beautiful dark curls!

As always, beautiful, my dear. Beautiful!
