Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I hope everyone had a great week. Ours seems to have been consumed by the beginning of a little sleep training. I’ve been reading the No-Cry Sleep Solution as a basis (I just can’t let my baby cry herself to sleep…at least not right now) and it’s given me some good pointers. Truth be told, Felicity sleeps pretty well at night…at least I thought she did. I was aiming to get her to take two longer naps during the day per the book so she’d “sleep better” at night. Well, it backfired and I’ve taken a step back to evaluate how she’s napping and how I’m putting her to sleep. Not that anyone other than me cares…but it seems like something worth noting…and much more pleasant than talking about poop (which I seem to discuss quite a bit these days).

On another note – I still have not had a chance to view any of your Memories, Dreams and Reflections posts, but I promise promise promise that I will over the next month. If you haven’t had a chance to link up yet, click HERE for all the details. You have until the 20th (I think) to link up so there is definitely still time.

With that said, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s Scavenger Hunt list is provided by Hootin’ Anni.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Outside

Getting Outside RS
Yep, I got outside this week. Creative…not so much.

2. Backside

Backside RS
Oh look, there’s Felicity’s backside.

3. Little Things

Little Spoons
We must have a gazillion of these little things.

4. A Cup of…Pear Juice!

Pear Juice in her Cup RS
I have had zero luck getting Felicity to drink from a bottle. My hope is that by adding a little bit of juice, that Felicity will like a sippy cup. Turns out that she loves pear juice. Nothing too crazy though…I mean, we’re talking an ounce of pear juice.

5. Reflect

Reflection in her Eyes RS
I stretched this one out to “reflection.” Either way, the windows are reflected in Felicity’s eyes.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, your items are listed below, sponsored by Hootin’ Anni.

  1. Basket
  2. Park
  3. Auto
  4. Recycle
  5. People Watching

Again, thank you to Hootin’ Anni for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

Great set, as always, Ashley! I love the perspective on “a cup of” and her blue eyes in the last one. Wow! My youngest wouldn’t take a bottle either. Made it difficult to leave him with Daddy for any length of time. Hoping the cup works out for you!

Oh, and by the way, there’s no where to link up this week. Thought you might like to know.

i love the spoon shot, love the simplicity. and baby girl’s eyes are so bright! {and i was wondering about the linky, too. thought i was just missing something :) } have a good week, Ashley :)

Same here. Have refreshsed a couple times and it won’t show up.

Such a great set once again. Felicity’s eyes are so bright and happy, she is adorable.

Hi Ashley ! Do you know what : I’m studying to be a nurse who works with children and your photos are so good material about a child and how she changes as she grows !! As the child learn more and more all the time.

I JUST LOVE YOUR PICS ! Have a nice Sunday.

Awwwwww, that Backside is my favorite this week. I can see from your posts each Sunday I’ve missed out on a lot of cuteness here!!! Ms. F is so adorable. And those reflective eyes…oh my goodness.

    No ‘linky’…will add mine here

    She is so stinking cute!!

Great hunt, your ” A cup of ” shot is just adorable.

I’d love some pear juice – that sounds yummy! And your backside shot is just precious!

Cute little piggies! Love the rainbow of spoons too!

I love the Backside picture, but I have always been a sucker for pictures of teeny feet. She is such a cutie, and growing up so fast.

Love the pictures! I am just joining Scavenger Hunt again after about a year of not doing it. I’m so excited to start it up again! :)

such a cutie, she’s getting so big!!

Another great week of pictures. Felicity’s backside is so cute and I especially like the spoons – so colorful!

So much fun in your shots. Every week the bright colors just pop from my computer – love, LOVE them all!

    Love the “backside” photo! Adorable!

Great interpretations. I love all your photos and the last is my favorite. Thank you for hosting the hunt!

And… a note on the reflection shot… I can TOTALLY see the LOVE reflected in her sweet blue eyes for her mama.

Great color in these shots, Ashley!

I love all of your photos. You are really good. But, your little girl’s eyes are just beautiful for reflect!

    Happy hunting next week!:-)

Oh that last one- simply adorable!

I love the spoon shot, and your little girl’s eyes?! WOW! This is my first Scavenger Hunt. See you next week.

I did the same thing for reflect…like the spoon shot, very colorful and fun.

Such lovely photos Ashley! I’ve admired your photos for some time and love this link up so have finally wet my toes and am in this week, thanks!x

Happy Sunday to you, Ashley! Have a wonderful week.

that reflection shot (and subject!!!) is a keeper, for sure!!!

    Her eyes are gorgeous!

I love this concept! I’m the proud new owner of a Nikon who is snapping anything and everything in an attempt to learn how to use it to its fullest potential. I can’t wait to participate next week. Your photos are absolutely beautiful (and so is your wee one)…I can’t wait to see more.

My daughter would take bottles from others, but not me.

I love your little things…and your daughters beautiful blue eyes.

I believe the sppons were my favorite. I don’t know. I guess I just liked the burst of color today. Of course, the other shots were beautiful too!

Love th spoons shot! Clean and colorful. Had every intention of starting this past week, but only managed to take 2 of the 5 photos. sigh. Will start working on this weeks’ prompts! Thank you!

I am very interested in the book. Has it been helpful? Would you suggest it?

Great captures. Of course, I always LOVE seeing your beautiful little girl!

    I Love this post!

Oh my goodness! She has grown so much!! Such beautiful bright blue eyes!! I’m not in to sleep training. Not at all. They are only little for so long and each child is so different. Just enjoy and read her cues – she will tell you what she wants. My youngest has never been a napper and is happy as can be on 6 hours of sleep at night (she is 16 months) where as my almost 4 year old loves sleep and sleeps 12 hours at night and 2 hours during the day! As long as they are healthy and happy :)
