Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I’m preparing this post on Friday afternoon…which is pretty incredible considering that I normally wait until the very last minute (aka late Saturday night). I guess I got inspired this week…I even got outside on Wednesday for a while. It was GORGEOUS and I’m hopeful that this is a sign of moments to come in the spring. Stay tuned for more photos from our day on Wednesday.

In the meantime, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s Scavenger Hunt list is inspired by Valentine’s Day – check it out at the bottom of this page.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. The Small Things

little hands at work RS
Like I mentioned above, our family took a trip to the lake on Wednesday. The weather was so beautiful that I took my camera just in case I felt inspired. Well I did. Meanwhile, Felicity loved being outdoors. She especially loved scratching her nails against the wood.

2. Illustration

I thought about doing a little drawing this week, but I didn’t have quite that amount of time. However, one of my Zulily orders arrived with a cute drawing. I took it upon myself to color it in. I forgot how much I enjoy coloring.

3. Valentine

Will You Be My Valentine RS

4. Work of Art

Sunshine on the Lake RS
Another photo that I took at the lake the other day. The sun shining down on the water…along with a little bit of photoshop magic. Beautiful.

5. Window Beauty

I thought I’d share one more photo of baby Bellamy from my session last week. I included the black and white version of this photo in my preview post on Friday. I am such a fan of backlighting…especially when it captures moments like these. From where I’m sitting, this most definitely qualifies as window beauty.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, your items are listed below. As you can see, I didn’t choose one specific list, but some prompts based on some recent inspirations. Enjoy!

  1. Candy
  2. Pink or Red
  3. Love
  4. Kisses
  5. Smile

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

love love love the picture you took for valentines day!

Wonderful set. Love your Small Things shot and the Valentine, I’m checking YES on that one.
Also loved the Work of Art piece.

Oh that valentine! I love it. She’s getting so big.

Love the filters in PhotoShop. It brings out the artist in all of us.

    Felicity’s valentine is too adorable!

Thanks again for hosting this meme.

Love your shots, especially the “Little Things’ shot. I love to see kids learning and experiencing their world.

Absolutely love all of these shots! Your baby girl is precious!

I think you have the perfect little valentine. The outfit, her sweet little face…perfection! Teh water photo is amazing as well!

You never outgrow coloring – I can never resist the offer at Chili’s to color that dang Chili Pepper. Your work of art is breath-taking – I hope you get a moment to share your processing. Fabulous.

and Miss Felicity – she is growing up so.

I love these Ashley- that last one is just so touching.

That shot of your girl is so sweet-looking over the railing, or at the railing. Very curious about what kind of magic you did with Photoshop. Looks like some sort of liquify or distortion. Very cool effect. Hope all is well.

Your photos are exquisite and your valentine so cute :-) Thank you for hosting the party.

all you girls with those little ones!! you finds are so much sweeter!!

    Nice photographs! Lovely ♥

I really love that lake photo–the liquified effect and colors of the waves reminds me of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.” Beautiful! You’re a wonderful photographer!

Your little girl is just adorable! She is definitely coming into her little personality!

Who wouldn’t want to be that little lady’s Valentine?

I love to color, too. I don’t have small children anymore, so I’d feel a little silly buying coloring books, but I so want to.

They are all beautiful, Ashley! I especially love the ones of Felicity! Adorable Valentine!

These are all wonderful! Love your Valentine and the lake shot. Beautiful.

Ok, what filter did you use in Photoshop for your Work of Art..That is so pretty… So are the rest of the photos…Felicity is getting way to big!

The last shot is my favourite: so kind and hopefull :)
