Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday! This week the weather in North Carolina decided to jump ahead to summer temperatures (80s) which meant we took advantage of it by getting outside. It’s been a fun week and I am so excited to be out of the house a bit.

With that said, that’s about all I’ve got to talk about right now, so let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s Scavenger Hunt list was gathered on Facebook.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Glow

Whale Pajamas RS
With warmer temperatures, I haven’t seen the need to dress Felicity in footy pajamas as much. Instead, I’ve been loving her in these whale pajamas. And with the glow of the sun creating a little backlighting…LOVE.

2. Old

The Old Well RS
I shared this photo on Friday, but I doubt most of you stopped by. Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to photograph three UNC-CH graduates. One of our first shots was taken at the Old Well located in the center of campus. This is one of my favorite shots.

3. Shadow

JUMP JUMP RS
Again, I shared this photo on Friday – I really love the shadow of a good jump shot.

4. Spring

First Swing RS
I mentioned that we got outside a bit this week. On Thursday, I wanted Felicity to experience the swings. She really and truly loved them…which to me is a huge victory since she seems to be hesitant of anything she does the first time. While we were at the park, I took a few photos other photos. I guess the photo on the right could be used for smile, but I wanted to show off another one of my favorites from the week instead.

5. Smile

IMG_1348 RS
On Tuesday, we met up with our friends Candice and Paisley at Pullen Park for a little fun. Candice asked if I would take a few photos of her with Paisley. This was one of my favorites!

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, your items are listed below.

  1. Happiness
  2. Spring in Black and White
  3. Family or Faith
  4. Fuzzy
  5. Gathering or Provide

Thanks again Facebook for a great list of items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

Lovely shots, really love those whale pj’s & the beautiful light in that first photo.

Very happy, pretty set. Love that you’ve got the baby and the graduates…and a mother/daughter shot….glimpses of different stages in our lives. My favorite is the little pj girl looking out the sunny window!

    1. I LOVE her little pants. That and the bow encompasses why I wanted a little girl so bad (and so did Gramma), only to find out that boys have their own special love for Mommy.
    2. Seriously – and I know you hear this all the time – can eyes get any brighter that Felicity’s?

Spring and smile are so cute, I love them.

I really liked your graduation photo shoot, really awesome shoot!

Thanks for hosting! Love your shots!

Great shots this week….all a bunch of cuties!!

I love these! The shadow shots are so much fun. Love the whale jammies, and your shot for smile is just perfect!

    Your last shot is awesome!

All of these were beautiful! Loving that blue that keeps showing up in all the pics! I finally was able to participate this week for the first time…Yay!

I can see why you like that smile portrait. What a fun pose. Jealous of that spring/summer weather. Send some north please.

Beautiful Ashley- I always enjoy your bright images that are always so full of color. Have a great week.

Love your glow and spring shots! Beautiful colors!

That smile shot is catchy! LOVE it!

Is it strange that I really want those PJ bottoms for myself? haha! Lovely photos, I especially love the ‘smile’ one, absolutely adorable!

I sung by on Friday! I try to never miss your posts. I love all your photography! Great set and I love Felicity in the swing. She is too cute.

Love your shadow and smile pics best of all but they are all terrific!

    The first is my favorite!
The pajamas and matching bow are delightful.

I love the shot of Felicity at the window – awe, takes me back to when my children were little. Loving those whale PJs.

Your photos of Felicity are beautiful, as always! And the graduation photos are great! Love the mother/daughter photo. So sweet!

Oh aren’t those little whale pj’s darling.
