Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day! I will be enjoying my very first mother’s day with my little family of three…and I hope that each of you will be doing something equally fun. I also still have a lot of editing ahead of me. I always knew that May would be a busy month for me but WOW. Anyways, if this is your first time joining us, welcome aboard. If you’ve been a part of the hunt before, I hope this week’s list inspired you. Next week’s list is sponsored by Susan of Happy No Ears.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Perspective

Kellie Maternity_19 RS
I did a Google search for “perspective” and saw a number of images that looked very similar to the one I’m using today. This is a photo of my pregnant friend, Kellie, during our maternity shoot last weekend. Isn’t she beautiful? I do love this perspective…and the leading lines.

2. Golden

Golden Light RS
I rarely get out during the golden hour anymore…and that’s all I can think of when I hear “golden.” So, I edited a recent photo of Felicity to look as if it might have been taken during the golden hour.

3. Bloom

Bloom RS
Our perennials are just starting to bloom in our front yard. This particular one was covered in ants when I first walked over to photograph it. I can’t wait to see it in full bloom.

4. Dark

First of all, I have no idea what I was thinking when I added in the side panels to this image. With that said, this is the night light we keep in our room so that if we have to wake up to tend to Felicity…we don’t trip over anything. Unfortunately, I have to unplug it every morning because of one very curious 10 month old.

5. Local

IMG_0076 RS
When I got pregnant last year with Felicity, I joined a message board for women expecting in August 2012. That group of women are still connected and one of them lives about 2 miles away from me. We got together recently so I could photograph her son on his nine month old birthday. He got rather tickled with himself at one point during the session. Let’s pretend that I asked him, “how much do you love your mommy?” And he responded “this…much!” You’ll see more of this little guy on Friday.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, your items are listed below…sponsored by Susan.

  1. Three
  2. Hand(s)
  3. Fence
  4. Cuddly
  5. Sign

Thanks again Susan for the great Scavenger Hunt prompts. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

Not that you could miss that beautiful smile, but I love how the blinds lead the eye right to your gorgeous friend.

I like your perspective shot and the one of the little boy raising his arms. My favorites this week.

Classic perspective shot…good one! Hard to believe Felicity is 10 months old already. Happy Mother’s Day to you, Ashley. I’m sure it will be a special one.

    Happy Mother’s Day!
Perspective with its lines is quite fascinating.
    The peony shot is lovely.
Of course Felicity is always beautiful and your friend’s son is so joyous.
The side panels on the night light make the whole set intriguing.

The “dark” capture is very creative. Well done.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

Your first Mother’s day. Enjoy. I like how you made that image look like golden hour. You are a master at processing! That perspective shot is my fave. She’s going to be delighted with that I’m sure.

Happy first Mother’s Day Ashley! Very exciting- hope it’s a blessed day.

Life is always a beafutiful prospective! What a beautiful mother. Perfect for Mother’s day. Happy Mother’s Day to you.

These are terrific! Love the perspective shot and the local the best. It can be a life saver to have a group of supportive women in your life when the kids are young. Glad for you!

Great set, as always! Love perspective, bloom, and local!

All great shots, Ashley!! Your little one has grown up so much!
I’m back linking up after quite a long break.
    Thanks for hosting.

Ashley, I hope you enjoyed your very first Mother’s Day.
Some wonderful shots here. The Peony shot is very nice (ants help to open the blooms that’s why you saw them on the plant).
Very nice shot for Perspective and the Dark shot reminded me of the Robot from the movie, “Wallie”
Cute little boy in the Local shot.

Love all your interpretations! The golden light shot is wonderful. Always love seeing pictures from your photo shoots. That last little guy is adorable.

Oh. I’m later, but anyway, here are my images. Have a nice day.
