Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I hope each of you are enjoying your summer. For those of you on the east coast, I hope you all survived the tropical storm rain…and to those of you in the midwest (Oklahoma and the like), my prayers are with you. I don’t know jack about tornados but they scare the pee-turkey out of me.

Anyways…for those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list also came from a few Facebook friends. I hope these prompts inspire you!

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Dishes

Dishes
Emptying the dishwasher is one of Felicity’s favorite activities. No matter where she is, if she hears me emptying the dishwasher, she crawls over to participate. Just means I have to move quickly to put away any sharp objects.

2. Favorite Color

IMG_0781 RS
My favorite color is pink…or blue…or green – gosh, they’re all so pretty. However, Miss Emily’s favorite color is PURPLE. Doesn’t she look so pretty in her purple dress. These photos might also work for expression.

3. Sunflare

IMG_0443 RS
I shared a similar photo on Friday…and unfortunately, this is not real sunflare but it’s the best I could come up with.

4. Expression

IMG_0929 BW RS
Apparently, the best way to get Emily to smile is by asking her to say “cheese pizza.” I don’t typically ask my clients to say cheese because I want to avoid this look (I prefer trying to create a natural smile via laughing, making silly noises, etc)…but man, it’s pretty cute.

5. Sticky

IMG_0545 RS
This is a bit of a stretch because I don’t really have anything good for sticky. However, Ainsley and I became buddies towards the end of my shoot last weekend. She kept trying to grab my camera with her little fingers. I’m going to call them sticky fingers.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, your list is below.

  1. Summer
  2. Dance
  3. Laughter
  4. Helper
  5. Water

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

Felicity will grow up not minding chores! :)

Just reread the post. Next week is wide open or the list? :)

I believe she forgot to change that from last week’s post. I could be wrong, but that is what I am thinking as last week’s prompts were all open.

There is no shortage of pebbles on our beach, and the seaweed was in abundance this weekend.

My two older girls are supposed to help empty the dishwasher after breakfast. Of course Harold comes along and wants to play so I too have to make sure the sharp knives are up. You can imagine my horror the one day when the dishwasher had been left open before the dishes got put away and he walked into the room with a sharp knife.
I love your sunflare picture and that expression is priceless.
    Have a great week!

    Great shots!! So lovely! :)

so excited to be lonking in for the first time, i have loved watching this project but not joined in before! love you dishes shots x

thanks for hosting. Even if the sunflare is not real., what a great pic! Dino loves to help me with cleaning, it will only help them be great at cleaning when they are older. That truly is a pretty dress.

The cheese pizza smile is too adorable!

I love seeing all these smiling litte faces so early in the morning!! Great set of portraits! Felicity at the dishwasher is adorable!!

I love children, so love all these shots of children. None around here anymore, so only occasionally get a few around the grands!

I always enjoy seeing your photos. Lots of cute ones this week.

    Hugs~

    lovely set this week

How nice to have help in the kitchen. Hopefully she will still be as eager when she is 13!

You have so many cute pictures here. I love Felicity and the dishes.

Love the pics of your little helper. So cute!

wonder how long that desire to help with the dishes will last? Jus sayin’
