Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. It’s another late Saturday night as I’m writing this post, so I won’t go into many details of our week. We did see Santa Claus today…and Felicity cried for him, so that was fun.Anyways, for those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list was taken from the Idea Room’s November Photo A Day Challenge.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Horizon

IMG_1928 RS
On Friday, I met up with Zan and his family for a portrait session. He was in full blown run mode nearly the entire session. I appreciated the workout and snapped this shot as he was running for the horizon.

2. Sharp

Composite Top Right RS
Last weekend, I took a bunch of photos of my nephew for a little project I’m working on. He looked so sharp all dressed up in his outfit for these photos.

3. Leather

I went into my archives to look for a shot with “leather” in it. The best I could do at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night was to point out the “leather” chair in our playroom. You don’t even see it clearly…and I don’t think it’s real leather. On second thought, anyone need a white chair?

4. Blue

Declan Nov13_07 RS
Our friend Declan came by to see us on Thursday afternoon so I could take a few photos for his Christmas card. Don’t you love those baby blue eyes?

5. Diagonal Lines

Diagnonal Lines RS

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Starts With S
  2. Texture
  3. A Blessing
  4. Warmth
  5. I Went…

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

Wonderful set Ashley. You always take such great pictures of children.
Loving the Horizon shot. Your nephew reminds me of shots of my dad when he was that age. Also really liked your diagonal line shot of the bricks.

I love the horizon shot. Great perspective

I love your horizon shot and the diagonal lines shot.
At least you had something that resembled leather. We have nothing. Love Felicity’s outfit in those shots.

I really like the sharp and blue eyes! All your photos are awesome, as always, but sharp really caught my eye, no pun! It’s all about the eyes! :)

Your horizon is great. I love shots with the kidddos. The bricks make great diagonal lines. We used to have brick streets around here, but now they have covered them over with boring asphalt.

The opening and the conclusion are the the most effective changemakers and inspirers… You’ve aptly proven that Ashley… :)

These are all adorable. I had to be really creative for leather too. :-)

Gutted I couldn’t join in this week, just lacked the inspiration i guess. Lovely photos. Those stunning blue eyes. I think leather was a toughie!
