Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. On Friday, I posted the list for Memories, Dreams and Reflections. If you haven’t participated before…or you just missed it, click HERE. On another note, for those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list was also taken from Fat Mum Slim’s Photo a Day: December.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
  7.
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Where I Stood

IMG_2655 RS
I meant to pull back on this shot and show you exactly where I was standing, but I failed to do so in time. I often take photos while sitting at my front door. It’s probably the best lit spot in the house unless I’m upstairs in the loft. Anyways, I managed to get Felicity to come over and snapped this shot of her in front of the tree. She’s still a foot or two away from the tree, allowing for some beautiful bokeh.

2. Silver

Silver Shoes RS
On Friday, Felicity wore this adorable silver ornament outfit…and of course, she had to wear her sweet silver shoes.

3. Tiny

Last year, my mom gave us a felt nativity set. Rather than bring out my really nice set that my mom gave us a couple of years ago, I put out the felt one so Felicity could play with it. The pieces are pretty tiny.

4. In the Cupboard

Goldfish Tree RS
Among other things, our cupboard (pantry) has a box of goldfish. Felicity doesn’t like the colored ones so I used them to build a Christmas tree.

5. Shadow

7F1A0123 rs
Yesterday morning, Michelle and I took the girls to see Santa at Peace College. That went over about like you’d imagine. Afterwards, we took the girls upstairs for a snack. I wanted to take advantage of the old windows for a photo. There were some pretty heavy shadows before I processed the image. Now, I’m sitting here wondering what the girls might have been talking about.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. The Weather Today
  2. R is for…
  3. Green
  4. Joy
  5. Drink

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

I love her little silver shoes!

As always your photos are stunning!
Thank you for hosting this weekly challenge.

You have great photographs (not that that is a surprise) I especially like the two girls in the window. It does look like that are discussing something of some import.

Nice being back Ashley after a six months hiatus. Your little girl is getting so big! And that’s my favorite photo – your little girl talking to her friend :)

Oh, those silver shoes are adorable. And i love what you did with the goldfish crackers from your cupboard. Very creative. I wonder why she doesn’t like the colored ones. Do they taste different?

    Thanks for the great linky!

Your ‘shadow’ shot is my favorite. I miss having little ones around. There is no end to the great photos they inspire.

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe I forgot to actually submit my comment yesterday!

Love the goldfish picture. They are a staple here too! And like Felicity, I don’t love the colored ones. I’m not sure why, I mean, I know they aren’t actually different, but I just don’t love them!

The tiny silver shoes are adorable. Those look like little doll feet. And I’m with Felicity. Goldfish are supposed to be gold, not red, green, or whatever!

Those silver shoes are just adorable! Lovely photos as usual :)

It does look like those girls are having a great conversation. Your goldfish tree is adorable. Love the bokeh in the first shot.

Great set, as always! Love the silver shoes and the goldfish tree!

Just realized I forgot to comment last Sunday. Loved those Silver Shoes.
Your in the cupboard shot was so clever and that last shot of the girls is so adorable.
