Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Last week, I posted the list for Memories, Dreams and Reflections. If you haven’t participated before…or you just missed it, click HERE. On another note, for those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list was also taken from Fat Mum Slim’s Photo a Day: December.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
  7.
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. The Weather Today

7F1A0202 RS
On Friday, we went to Pullen Park for their annual Holiday Express event. Considering that the previous weekend was rained out, I was a bit concerned about the crowds (everyone who was supposed to come last weekend was encouraged to come back this weekend). Fortunately, the weather was perfect – 52 degrees and clear!

2. R is for…

Reindeer Dust RS
R is for REINDEER DUST. While we waited in line to see Santa, Michelle took the girls out into the field to play. They must have made reindeer dust while I waited in line because Maddie was carrying it around with her when I took over. I put it in my pocket and forgot to give it back to Michelle (sorry). Thus, I photographed it for the hunt.

3. Green

7F1A0275 RS
Look who’s making an appearance in this week’s scavenger hunt? Kitty Paw!

4. Joy

7F1A0268 RS
My little girl brings me joy every day, but I thought that was a bit predictable. You know what else brings me joy? Christmas cards! This year, I made a card wreath…I love looking over at it and seeing all my favorite people on display.

5. Drink

Felicity and the Cookie RS
I pinned a photo of a young child sipping on milk that looked to be out for Santa (along with cookies of course). I wanted that photo…so, I baked cookies and got everything set up for the perfect photo. Unfortunately, Felicity wasn’t interested in drinking the milk. On the other hand, she was very interested in eating cookies. So, it wasn’t the shot I originally wanted for this prompt, but it’s still pretty cute.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Lights
  2. Tree
  3. Big
  4. Makes You Feel Merry
  5. On the Door

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
