Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I’m writing this post on Friday and all I can think is “RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!” I’m ready for Spring and that’s all I’ve got for you today. So let’s cut to the chase. I’m glad you’re here. If you didn’t participate this week in my scavenger hunt, but want to participate next week…next week’s list is brought to you by…Shannie!

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Mini

Mini Microwave RS
Mini microwave? Felicity loves this thing!

2. Shoes

Pink Shoes RS
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been pulling together an outfit for Felicity to wear for St. Patrick’s Day. Part of that outfit includes pink Converse sneakers. Since I’ve gone through the trouble of changing out the laces, I’m pretty sure she won’t wear them now. Glad I bought them second hand.

3. Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror RS
I was hoping to capture Felicity’s face in this shot, but she would hardly stay on this page for more than a second. If you know the book (Pat the Bunny), then you know it is poorly assembled. Just after this photo, the cover came off.

4. Shopping

Shopping RS
I do my usual grocery shopping on Monday, but I forgot about the list this week until Friday…so, I made a special trip to Walmart to pick up some ribbon for the shoes you see above. As you can tell, a few other things ended up in our cart. I was trying really hard to take a photo without much notice. Then, a man walked up right behind us and commented on it. He then scared Felicity by saying hey to her. She refused to sit in the shopping cart for another minute. Thanks dude.

5. Just Because

I forgot that I had a Lensbaby until this week. I brought it out and had a little fun chasing Felicity around with it. Can’t say I captured anything magical, but here ya go.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Doorway
  2. Candid
  3. Open
  4. Look Up
  5. Stuffed

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!

my girls had that book many years ago. it was a favorite…although if i remember correctly I did have to buy a 2nd one for my younger daughter. I am contemplating a lensbaby for macro…I don’t have any yet. Are they worth it?

Your daubghter is certainly photogenic. I love the all the pink in the first photographs.

I had to google “Lensababy” and that is interesting. I’ve done all sorts of elecronic tilt shift pseudo effects but I didn’t know that it could be done for real with regular cameras. I guess one of these days I’ll have to get a camera witha separable lens.

Thank you for hosting one of my favorite memes.

Thank you for giving me a reason/need to get out of the house this week. Not much for shopping but wanted to participate in your challenge. I can appreciate your comment about more things ending up the cart. With 3 boys a small trip to the store ended up being rather expensive. Enjoying all of the pink.

So many wonderful photos of Felicity! Those shoes are adorable!

i love those tiny pink shoes!!!! oh i remember when!!! haha! a trip to walmart is always an adventure… but sounds like yours was more than you bargained for! EEK! Oh! i thought that was pat the bunny! it has been a while since i read it but i know just what you mean about the cover!!! i would have thought by now they would have made an update!

Too bad about the stranger coming up, you’d think they would be more careful around little ones. Apparently he doesn’t know how kids react! I like that capture in the cart a lot, so lucky thing you snapped it first! The last photo is really precious. What an expression!

enJOYed your shots this week. Thank you SO much for hosting. Love this fun, enJOYable challenge which makes me scavenge through my 1000s of shots of fun times.

These are fun. Love those shoes, and Felicity is so cute with her mini microwave.
