Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Felicity started preschool this week. So many people have asked how she did…or asked me, “did she love it?” Well, as of right now, I can’t say that she loves it. She cries at drop off and cries again at pick-up. She’s holding her cards close and won’t let anyone know that she’s actually enjoying herself. However, at home, she tells us about Miss Tina and Miss Patrice (Treese) and all the other kids in her classroom. She tells us of coloring and playing on the playground and all the other fun things she did in the hour she was there. Then, this weekend, we are visiting my husband’s family. We’re celebrating Poppa’s birthday and seeing cousins and just having tons of fun. With that said, I’m glad you’re here and if you didn’t participate this week in my scavenger hunt, but want to participate next week, be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Back to School
A week or so ago, I took Felicity out to take a few back to school photos. I still need to share the entire set, but here is one of my favorites paired with Felicity’s first day of school photo.
2. Family
This is not my family but a family I photographed last weekend. I will probably photograph some of my own family while I’m visiting this weekend, but I have tried to get this post ready so I can enjoy being with family while I’m here this weekend.
3. Books
I had full intentions of capturing a photo similar to this with Felicity this week. It just didn’t happen, so I pulled up this photo of Bellamy from last fall. I’ll be photographing her later this month. I can tell you that she’s gotten so much bigger since these shots.
4. Portrait
I took Amelia’s portrait this week. She wasn’t a huge fan of having photos done, since she’s 3 and would rather play…but I did manage to get several really great shots.
5. Detail
I’ve been taking photos for Daily Mom’s “Back to School” guide over the past week or so. Here’s one of my “detail” shots from Sol Republic’s Tracks Air.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list:
- 1. Color
- 2. View
- 3. Stroll
- 4. Outfit
- 5. Blocks
If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
