The Muffin Experiment

Last week, I was blog hopping and saw a recipe for banana and chocolate chip muffins. This immediately prompted a trip to the grocery store. Unfortunately, once I got to the muffin aisle, my enthusiasm for baking from scratch disappeared and I found a .99 cent bag of ready-mix blueberry muffins. Processed with Oh My Good Knits’ freebie action: Hazy B&WDon’t get me wrong, they were tasty, but I should have stuck to my guns and made the banana and chocolate chip muffins. The Flute

The other day I happened to ask my mom if she’d seen my flute lately. As a result, on Friday, I received a package in the mail. That’s right…at one point in my life, I was a flutist (middle to high school). Not that I was ever really good, but I was good enough for my parents to buy an open-hole, gold-plated flute back in the day. Wandering the World with ZANDER!

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to host Zander, a sock monkey who has heart full of love for children with special needs. He is just one part of the much larger FAITH Project, founded by Amy Gomes. Click HERE to read more about the project. Birthday Party!

You may remember that I attended my niece and nephew’s birthday party a couple of weekends ago. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had much time to process the photos until earlier this week. We had such a wonderful time and these pictures are just a taste of it!Alyssa (7) and Carter (2) are obviously five years apart, but they were also born about two weeks apart.
