Photo Story Friday (including Macro)

July 23, 2010
Just before we went on vacation last week, we went to a Jack and Jill shower for our friends Caroline and Jason. I was honored to photograph the event (I also shot their engagement photos for their Save-the-Date cards) as it was a perfect reflection of their lives…just a bunch of happy people, celebrating love and life! I thought I’d share a few shots with you (you’ll have to trust me that there were happy people, but I’m not sure all those happy people want their face on my blog). Check out this cake that one of their friends made for them. It looked so perfect that...
Summer Vacation: Part 2

July 16, 2010
Two days ago, we went to the aquarium (it was raining most of the day, so we took it easy – I haven’t even opened those photos yet so I’ll have to share those later). Can you tell I’m working on my confidence? However, as a result of that challenge, I became fascinated with photographing bugs…especially bees. I don’t necessarily want to get too close to bees (thus the reason I now own a macro lens), but I think there hold...
Macro Friday

June 25, 2010
I’m excited to share this shot with you today for Macro Friday…not necessarily because it’s a great Macro shot (although if you tell me it is, I’ll take it), but because I love the artistic natural beauty of the shot…the colors, the raindrops, the berries in the background. Sure, I added a slight texture, but I loved this shot before I even took it. ISO 200, 105 mm, f/3.2, 1/250 sec. Before I leave for the weekend (my husband tells me we’re going to wine country), I should thank In a Yellow House for the Outstanding Blogger award. I hope you’re...
