In the spirit of “rest,” I thought I’d share a few shots of Kitty Paw sleeping (the same activity I wish I was doing right now). She has a couple of favorite spots around the house…one being the couch. I was laying down, watching TV when I looked up and saw her sleeping so peacefully. SOOC Saturday: “Kitty Paw at Play”...

Yesterday afternoon, I came home…picked up my camera…snapped a quick shot of Kitty Paw and then went to look at what I’d just taken. What I found was quite a treat! It all started yesterday morning after I left for work. My husband started his morning cleaning which included pulling back the sheets. Kitty Paw quickly jumped into a warm space in the covers. He decided he wanted to play photographer. His cleaning continued downstairs. Well…you know that Kitty Paw loves the morning sun. The morning sun plus an audience meant that she would toss and turn…of course...

Pixel Perfect: Before and After

Earlier this week, I posted a picture I took of Kitty Paw laying in the sun. I thought for my Pixel Perfect entry, that I’d share my editing steps with you. I’ve also been asked to share a little insight into how I select and apply textures.ISO 200, 60mm, f/2.8, 1/60 sec, spot metering on Kitty PawAs I’ve said before, I shoot in full manual…RAW, so it requires that I send every photo through Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) – I guess technically, you could make the argument that the SOOC above is not a true SOOC, but it’s the JPG converted version, so there....

My Best Shot (this week)

The moment I walked in the door tonight, I felt like I was catching up…and I’m still not caught up. However, in the past few days, I have not had my camera on me (at least not my DSLR), so I was excited to snap away (meanwhile, I haven’t unpacked, started laundry, etc). I first started fulfilling my Scavenger Hunt Sunday items and then saw Kitty Paw mesmerized by a bug. I love the shot below…the look on her face…the concentration…the ambition. Of course, she didn’t get the bug (it was outside and she was clearly inside), but she made quite an effort...
