I’m thankful that I didn’t have to spend the night in Detroit, but the trade-off was a lack of sleep (for whatever reason, I don’t sleep well before my husband or I fly even though once I’m on the plane…I fall right to sleep). Thank goodness it’s FRIDAY…and you know what that means: MACRO FRIDAY. However, outside of a few macro shots, this weekend is going to be pretty busy. Tonight, we’re going to see The Black Crowes…and tomorrow we’re going to our friends’ wedding. Dear Darlings…

This summer, I joined the Dear Darlings pen pal project. Melissa organized anyone that was interested in the project in groups of five and sent us an email with names, addresses and birthdays. I sent my first letter to each of the ladies in my pen pal group several weeks ago…and the other day, I received two letters from the group. Over the weekend, we visited my husband’s family in the North Carolina mountains (well close…but if I told you exactly where, you’d just be confused) to celebrate my husband’s birthday (which was yesterday…happy birthday sweetheart).
