Can I get a WitHness?

February 09, 2012
We’re in between series at my church right now (or at least we were last weekend), but the message was…as always…timely (click here to see or hear the original message: witHness). If you’re new to my blog, you know that I use this space to reflect on the message each week – subsequently, I pray that it reaches your heart the way it did mine. Last weekend was a big weekend for 111.3 million people…that is, if you were watching the Superbowl. No Place Like Home

February 02, 2012
For the past few weeks, my church has been unpacking the Prodigal Son. This past week, we wrapped up by describing the significance behind the robe, the ring and the sandals that the father gives to his young son upon his return. Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a...

Last week, I shared with you the beginning of a new series at my church called “Prodigal” (in case you missed it, click HERE). This past weekend, we continued the series by going a little deeper into the story of the Prodigal Son…specifically asking how do we get home and stay home after going prodigal? But before we can talk about going home, let’s talk a little more about what happens when we go prodigal…and let’s be honest, we’ve all gone “prodigal” to some degree or another (or at least watched someone we love go prodigal). For so...
