Before & After: The Wedding Dress

May 04, 2010
My PS tutorial counterpart over at 100 Things in 365 Days posted an editing challenge a few days/a week ago. A lot of girls from the photography board responded with beautiful edits. Yesterday, when I was looking for an editing challenge, she asked if I would mind editing her photo as well – I mean, no pressure or anything. I love the idea of having her wedding dress right beside her grandmother’s dress…why didn’t I think of that?! However, this photo is deceptively difficult (her words and I love them) because even though you think it’s a color cast/white...

Before & After

May 01, 2010
Karen contacted me via my Contact Me page. I was super excited to hear from her because we were October 2009 brides together. She sent me a challenge: a picture of her dog, Pugsly, taken on her point and shoot. I’ll be honest, I had a few issues…one of which was that I don’t have noiseware. I NEED NOISEWARE! The expression on her face says that she just made a mess and doesn’t care – it’s as if she’s saying “LOOK AT ME!” I love it. On top of that, I was distracted by some of the background. For my...

Dreamy Vintage: Re-EDIT

April 20, 2010
The other day, I shared with you my version of dreamy vintage. While it definitely looks cool, Salina wasn’t 100% satisfied and I agree – the flowers were washed out in the process of texturizing. Since I aim to please, I decided I’d re-edit. I’m really turned onto Shadowhouse Creation‘s (free) textures right now, so I thought I’d retry some of the steps I used yesterday (minus one). I started with these textures and this tutorial. Layering textures can be pretty tricky, so allow the time to do it properly. If I had full-blown Photo Shop, I’d make...
