This week’s i ♥ faces’ Fix-It Friday photo is of a little girl who is just a little under-exposed. It’s a nice picture with great shallow depth of field, nice focus on the face, sweet smile and cute vest. I decided to follow Julie Rivera‘s steps to enhance an already beautiful photograph…of course, adding my own spin to it. Here’s the original:
And here’s my edit:
In my edit, I adjusted the s-curve and layers to brighten her up and darken the background (mostly following Julie’s exact steps). I then smoothed her skin using Coffeeshop’s Powder Room, lowering the opacity so it’s barely noticeable. I enhanced my magenta’s, red’s and cyan’s to give her a little pop. Then, I used Coffeeshop’s Sun-Kissed action (added a little more of a lens flare). I cropped the photograph a little tighter and that’s it.
Let me note here that I was working with a small JPEG file, so I’m not liking the resolution too much. Unfortunately, I can’t open RAW files with PSE7 (at least not that I’m aware of). Oh well. Until next time,
