The other day, I shared with you my version of dreamy vintage. While it definitely looks cool, Salina wasn’t 100% satisfied and I agree – the flowers were washed out in the process of texturizing. Since I aim to please, I decided I’d re-edit.
I’m really turned onto Shadowhouse Creation‘s (free) textures right now, so I thought I’d retry some of the steps I used yesterday (minus one). I started with these textures and this tutorial. Layering textures can be pretty tricky, so allow the time to do it properly. If I had full-blown Photo Shop, I’d make this an action…but I use PSE 7, so I’m left to layer manually. I then added a subtle lens flare and finished by adding a Summer Vintage action from Nelly Nero. Paying attention? — there are 25 FREE PSE Actions (as well as PS actions) ready to be downloaded!
Anyways, I sent my revision over to Salina before I blogged – she loved it! Mission accomplished and I’m ready to call it a day.
