I love Fix-it Friday! This week’s challenge is from Allie. She wanted to bring out her eyes and color a little more. What a beautiful girl…and yet, it’s hard to believe that just months ago we had snow on the ground now that Spring is here. Anyways, here is the original photo:
And here is my edit:
For my edit, I went through the following steps:
- Made a mild curves adjustment.
- Cropped and rotated a little to fill the frame.
- Adjusted the skin tone/color curves to warm her up.
- Cloned/Healed snow spots on hat and jacket.
- Ran Amy McMaster’s Squeaky Clean.
- Ran Coffeeshop’s Baby Powder Room to adjust uneven skin tone.
- Ran Pioneer Woman’s Bring Out the Eyes action.
- Ran Coffeeshop’s Little Perk. – At this point, I felt like the photo was looking pretty good.
- Ran Amy McMaster’s Apricot Cream action for a softer style.
- Resized and sharpened for the web.
Now that you’ve seen my edit, go check out some of the others at I Heart Faces.
Update: I think my first edit may be a little too warm now that I’m looking at it again. Here it is again with a cooling filter. This may be more consistent with the season.
