Fix-It Friday
I love Fix-it Friday! This week’s challenge is from Allie. She wanted to bring out her eyes and color a little more. What a beautiful girl…and yet, it’s hard to believe that just months ago we had snow on the ground now that Spring is here. Anyways, here is the original photo:
And here is my edit:
For my edit, I went through the following steps:
  1. Made a mild curves adjustment.
  2. Cropped and rotated a little to fill the frame.
  3. Adjusted the skin tone/color curves to warm her up.
  4. Cloned/Healed snow spots on hat and jacket.
  5. Ran Amy McMaster’s Squeaky Clean.
  6. Ran Coffeeshop’s Baby Powder Room to adjust uneven skin tone.
  7. Ran Pioneer Woman’s Bring Out the Eyes action.
  8. Ran Coffeeshop’s Little Perk. – At this point, I felt like the photo was looking pretty good.
  9. Ran Amy McMaster’s Apricot Cream action for a softer style.
  10. Resized and sharpened for the web.
If you want any of the actions I used above, click on Inspiration – I’ve included links to each of those photographer’s sites where you can download the actions.
Now that you’ve seen my edit, go check out some of the others at I Heart Faces

Update: I think my first edit may be a little too warm now that I’m looking at it again. Here it is again with a cooling filter. This may be more consistent with the season.
