Shutter Love Tuesday

I just found Trendy Treehouse today and since I’m always looking for ways to connect with others who share my interest in photography…I thought I’d join and share one of my photos for this week’s Shutter Love Tuesday. The theme is nature.This photo was taken at the beginning of spring at Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Although I did add some texture, that dreamy blue is completely natural! Candace and Brandon are on their honeymoon in Jamaica (please say a pray for them considering the latest news), after celebrating their nuptials on Saturday, May 22 at the Angus Barn Pavilions. They have been dating since college, and I know how thrilled they were to finally become man and wife after so many years together. Anatomy of an Edit

Last week, Mrs. G left me a comment on my blog with a request to try my hands at one of her favorite photos. If she can be sweet enough to leave me a little love, then I’m more than happy to play with one of her photos. I also thought I’d share my typical workflow. Here’s the before: This is really a cute shot, so I saved the file and opened Photoshop Elements (PSE). I recently learned (yeah yeah…I’m slow) that I can open all of my photos (including JPGs) in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) first. Just go to File>Open As>select your file and choose to Open As Camera Raw...
