This week’s Fix-It Friday photo was submitted by JaimeLee at Candidly Grateful. She wrote, “This is a photo of my twins at 6 weeks old. I love the photo because of their interaction and their faces, but I feel like it’s a little drab or flat. It needs some life.”
I do love this photo, and although she considers it to be “flat,” I just think it needs a little post-processing. Here’s the before:
And here is my edit:
For my edit I did the following:
- Started in Adobe Camera Raw and made a few exposure, brightness, contrast adjustments.
- In PSE7, I replaced the background color (I felt like the original background flattened the image), ran Amy McMaster’s Squeaky Clean, and softened up their skin (using a combination of techniques including the inverse of a high pass/soft light filter and a soft paint brush).
- Finally, I used Amy McMaster’s Apricot Cream action for a nice smooth finish.
