Scavenger Hunt Sunday (Lesson 5: Composition)
Earlier this year, I started following TWOpeasinabucket’s Photography Course. In February, I completed Lesson Five: Composition…and then I just kinda lost track of the lessons. Janine has since decided to lead our group on the Photography Board in completing all 12 lessons, so I thought I’d pick up where I left off.

In an effort to kill two birds with one stone, I thought I’d also post this week’s scavenger hunt items. I took a number of shots from various angles, but the shots I’ve posted below were my favorite. So, just in case you’ve forgotten (or didn’t know) the main points:
  1. Keep it simple – eliminate distractions
  2. Apply the rule of thirds
  3. Keep an eye on the horizon
  4. Frame your subject
  5. Fill the frame
  6. Try a new perspective
Now for the scavenger hunt:

1. Stack of Books
(a stack of travel books from some of the various locations we’ve visited including Colorado, Miami, Charlotte, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Anaheim and Boston – we’ve traveled many other places but haven’t collected books from each location)

2. Street Sign (Children at Play)

3. Water (Just a few water bottles from our wedding in the refrigerator)

4. An Accessory (my favorite necklace and earrings)

5. Mailbox (our mailbox in fact)

Just in case you have any interest in participating, I’ll come back here to post next week’s items.
