Flashback Friday: DAD
I told you I had one more blog post today. 🙂

This weekend is Father’s Day – which means I’m heading back to my hometown to spend a little quality time with my Dad (and my mom since my birthday is next week and they’ll want to celebrate with me). He doesn’t know it yet (because I am doubtful he reads my blog), but we’re going to be setting up his brand new VHS to DVD converter that I bought for his birthday earlier this month…and potentially converting a few of our old home movies into DVDs. It should be fun.

The shot below is one of the pictures I have from my childhood…and one of the better shots of my dad (when I was little of course). I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in this picture – we’re in our kitchen (which still has the same wallpaper, although we’ve painted the cabinets and added a bar), but my mom has the table set up with her fine china vs. every dinnerware. I’m sure that she thought my brother and I (my guess is that I’m about 4/5, and he’s 2/3 at the time of this photo since that’s about the time we moved into the house) were just looking too cute in our Super Man pajamas not to take a picture…and told my dad to jump in the shot. I apologize to my sweet sister that she didn’t make the cut.

Oh, here’s another one of us riding piggy back – notice the stash.

And finally, I wanted to add one with my grandfather. He passed away several years ago and I miss him. He was truly a great man.
