The week’s theme at the Trendy Treehouse is stuffed animals. I don’t have many stuffed animals around my house right now (I gave most of them away), but I do have this one of a bunny rabbit that I built at “Build-A-Bear” my sophomore year during Spring Break at Peace College.
I didn’t always go on a “traditional” Spring Break during college. One year, my friend Katie and I went up to her parents house in Maryland. We spent a week hanging out with her mom, touring Washington, D.C., shopping and enjoying a much needed week off. One of those days, we went to the Build-A-Bear workshop and built these rabbits. As silly as it may be, I felt the need to keep it all these years. I figure that one day I’ll have a son or daughter, and they may or may not get a kick out of Mom’s old rabbit.
